Prefect for busy 3 year old
Bought for my 3 year old grandson and he loves them. They are perfect size for little hands and can easily be transformed from vehicle to robot like person. He hasn’t stopped playing with them since he got them.

Excellent toy; Heatwave is a bit tricky tho
I bought these for Christmas for my two kids who are absolutely in love with all things rescue bots. All bots with the exception of Heatwave is very easy to maneuver their transformation. Blades and Boulder are easiest; and Chase is easy once you get a hang of it. The only tricky one is Heatwave; the transformation isn't difficult for an adult. You basically have to (in one hand) grab hold of the cab portion of the bot down so that the arms/front wheels and head stay in while you push it up, while the other hand holds on to the back of the truck. It's easy for an adult --- and my 5 year old got it after a few tries. My 3 year old however, who can't at all manage to grab the whole front... it was a very frustrating experience. But being stubborn as he is he has figured out how to manage the transformation with his own little hands. So it can be done ... just not easily. To the credit of the toymakers though, Playskool seems to have made these bots quite sturdy. With my 3 year old yanking and pulling at Heatwave bits and forcing every bit of his strength over the toy while mastering the transformation, I was SO sure it would break within days (if not hours!). Amazingly even after several dozens of times of being forced to do things it wasn't meant to do, Heatwave is still whole! Unbroken! Functioning. This is rather AMAZING for a plastic toy; beyond what we expected. I'm giving 4/5 because the toy set is rather awesome and has sat through hours of make believe play. -1 * goes for the frustration we had to experience with heatwave. If your child is really young or gets frustrated easily, I'd just give them the 3 of the 4 bots first, and introduce Heatwave at a later time or when you have plenty time to address their frustration.

perfect for 3 year olds
These are super easy to transform! If you have a 2 to 5 year old these are perfect. Basically one to two steps to transform. They are also super durable. These have been my kids favorite toy for over a year and besides Blades wing and Heat Waves ladder breaking they still transform and are still great to play with despite being played with super hard.

TRULY A SMOOTH ONE STEP CONVERSION
Reviewing the Transformers Rescue Bots: Griffin Rock Team (Amazon Exclusive). True to their word of an easy one step conversion, FINALLY found transformers that even our 2 year old can transform ALL by himself!!!! Once we showed him the very very smooth and simple pull the legs apart to make the robot and push the legs together to make the vehicle, he never asked for help and never has to wait for someone to figure it out so he can play. He still LOVES playing with them every day and the sizes are perfect for his little hands. They’re also well made and look just like the bots on TV!

Fab toys and perfect for little hands! My 3 year old has had other rescue bots but they weren’t enjoyed as much as these, probably because these are the actual ones from The show he watches! Very easy to transform and a great size! Light too so perfect for popping in my handbag!

Great for 3-4 year old Transformer fans. Super simple and easy to transform. No asking for parents' help to change back and forth every 5 minutes. Surprisingly convincing models in both forms, considering how much effort is needed. Not poseable, but good tradeoff for ease of use. Nothing broken after 3 months of use.

Loving these 4 pieces of transformational toys, they are well designed and the "transformation mechanism" is very smooth. My Little one was jumping on excitement the whole evening after receiving it! If I could ask for a small enhancement - could they make Boulder's transformation just a tad more challenging (currently it's just a one-step maneuver)?
