Q: Is this taupe color brown? i'm looking to do a brown and orange blanket, like cleveland browns colors.

Its not a dark brown -- more like a mix of gray & brown -- but its great yarn to work with! Very soft and thick - works up quick!

Q: How much do i need to make king size blanket?

I made a king size blanket with 10 big balls. It made a very large blanket that hung over the sides and end of the bed nicely.
