Work great nice and smoothly, have gotten me through everything I put them to the test with.

Drilled and Tapped steel tubing - 2 layers - in seconds flat.
I needed to secure my truck's ladder rack. It's made of galvanized steel tubing. Wow, totally impressed - this inexpensive set tapped perfect M threads without a flinch. Screws went in like a breeze. Highly, highly recommended.

Not good for use in aluminum
These might work OK for wood and other soft materials, but in aluminum I got only 1 or 2 taps out of the M3 and M4 sizes respectively. The M3 broke tapping the second hole, the M4 broke tapping a hole in the third. This was in 2mm 6061 aluminum. Either choose a higher quality drill-tap or do like I will and switch back to separate drills and taps.

Not for steel
They work fine with aluminum or nylon, plastics, etc. Tried them on some mild steel 1/8" thick and snapped the smaller ones immediately.

These are incorrectly designed as once tapped a hole, the tap also tears the thread coming out, due to the shaped thickness.of the shaft. also very poor quality most of them break after the first or second hole, It is a shame I only just tried them after the return date

If you have a lot of drilling and tapping to do, then these make your life a lot easier. Iv been working with a lot of aluminium have made it so much easier whith these bits. Just beware they are not made to drill into anything thicker than the drill portion!! Anything 10mm and under these are perfect for..
