Look No Further ~ Red Light is First Option!
Very well made ~ I get the impression this will need to be named as it is going to be with me for many years and will become a beloved and reliable member of the family. If you live in the sticks or you just want a reliable hands free light with the red light as the first option, you are in luck. I was going to keep this in my Bug Out / Get Home bag, but I keep taking it out for use around the house so I think I need to buy a few more. Comfortable to wear, easy to turn on, easy to use rechargeable batteries in (if you are not using rechargeable batteries you should be ~ try the Eneloop brand batteries as I have had those last a decade frequent recharges as they were used in toys). Buy a few if you can, they are well worth it!Made in USA :)

Good head lamp with no strap
The lamp works well with adequate brightness. On/off, mode selection and dimming features are easy to use. I can't review how well/stable the lamp is secured on the strap because there isn't one. Despite being shown on product picture, the strap is NOT included in the package. I needed he lamp and there was no time to get a different one with strap. I had to buy a strap from local store, ending up with higher overall cost.

Exactly what I wanted
It’s a solid, waterproof headlamp that is bright enough without being too bright. And most importantly, one click turns on red mode first, so you don’t risk blowing out your night vision. I have other brighter, more expensive head lamps that require you to jump through hoops to turn on red mode, and I never get it right when I’m groggy at 3am. A+

I am happy with my purchase
This is the third one I have purchased, the 1st one lasted over 4 years until it went swimming in the ocean. Battery life is consistent with the owners manual, light weight and very comfortable

Batteries made in china
Headlamp works well and is bright. I bought Princeton Tec because it said they were made in the USA and the packaging stated that but the Duracell batteries were made in china. I have Duracell batteries at home that say made in US why can't they supply those batteries.

It will go dead in storage
I have 2 of these. I leave one in my vehicle for emergencies. The other I leave in my technical tool bag. Both have failed me in the last 2 weeks. Dead batties. Stored for no more than a couple weeks.

Headlamp not working
Cannot rate the features due to it is not working. This light was great when it was working, but only for a very short time. The return window was May 1st 2023. On June 17th while on a camping trip with our scout troop it stopped working. Checked and swapped out batteries, still did not work. Unless amazon is willing to extend the warranty and replace the headlamp so I can rate it @ 5 stars, I cannot recommend this headlamp unless you just want to use it for a couple of months.

Ideal for marine use.
The fact that this cycles to red light first is terrific for marine use. White light is detrimental to maintaining your night time visibility in low light situations. Red light is also less disruptive, and provides you the needed illumination to see your up close area and immediate area, while retaining pupil dilation for night vision.

Nice Headlamp
I love the red light feature walking in to my stand. I feel like it doesnt spook the animals quite like a standard bright white light does. It has enough light to be able to see where you are going. Also love the fact that its dimmable on both the spotlight and red light as well. As far as battery life only used a couple of times so I cannot attest to how long the batteries will last. Just know that light feels pretty sturdy and should hold up for years of hunting.

Decent light. Bad user interface, design. I sent it back.
First of all, the default setting, i.e. single press of the button, is the red mode. Double press gives full brightness (spot beam), triple press gives low brightness (flood beam). I love my old Princeton Tec Aurora. It's still going strong, but I needed another headlamp to keep in my truck. This ain't it.Besides the stupid default setting, the button is very difficult to press and often took both hands for me to make it happen. Maybe there's a trick to pressing it just right to get it to work better, but why should I have to mess with or figure that out? Maybe the red lamp is default because this is intended for someone who's using it mainly for night vision purposes. If that's the case, it should be more clearly stated on the product page.

difficult to turn on/off or switch settings
The only positive thing about this headlamp is that for those who photograph the night sky, it goes straight to the red setting so you don't lose your night vision. But trying to get it to turn on and off and on different settings is a pain! At least the one I got. And if your hands are cold or you have gloves on, it's worse. I had a terrible time trying to switch settings. My unit is very finicky. I tried to send it back but they want me to cover shipping and there is no telling when I will get it back. Disappointed since it is not a cheap unit.

Great little headlamp with some real power!
I haven’t full tested the battery life, but the brightness and clarity are great!!!

Not worth the cost
It’s not the new version, and it’s not worth the cost do your research. Amazon is getting worse with this kind of stuff.

Liked so much I bought another
Easy operation and long battery life make this good. Long throw on high and the ability to din when working close make it great. My only complaint is I wish it were available in brighter colors, to make easier to find when you need it in the dark.
