I was pleasantly surprised, good size and lighting is very good (4 AAA batteries, not included). For the price this is a good value and I'll probably order a 2nd. The glass is not blurry and the handle is comfortable. It's well made.

C product 4 1st time with me.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this magnifier. i've ordered so many magnifying glasses over the past few years_ the older i get the tinier things seem 2 B_ i'll show you this magnifier side by side with other magnifiers_ C Pics._ U will C how it compares to 3 inch magnifier, 2 1/2 inch magnifier and even 1 of the magnifying floor lamps with 7 inch by 10 inch magnifier supported by flexible goose neck with LEDs.It's BIG and it's HEAVY_ it's almost a foot long and 1/2 foot wide. i put it on my postal scale- it weights more than 1/2 pound_ 9.4 ounces with batteries.. when i read in description that it was made of plastic- i was expecting something lighter, cheaper. the lens isn't flimsy plastic- it's thick-like in magnifiers with glass lenses_ i almost thought the lens was glass_ very good optics quality.most of the lens is magnification 1.8_ there is a 1 inch circle area that is 5X_ the 3 bright LEDs need 4 triple AAA batteries - batteries not included.this magnifier is sold by many different vendors on amazon. b4 buying, U should search amazon for 5 1/2 inch magnifying lens_ U will find the same product sells for between $10-$20_ some vendors include xtras like micro-fiber cloth and storage bag_ i paid $11-ish for this and it came with no xtras_ i just discovered another amazon vendor has it for $10 and includes a storage bag and microfiber clothYoctosun 5.5 Inch 3 LED Handheld Magnifier - Illuminated Distortion-Free Magnifying Glass for Reading, Exploring, Inspection, Electronics, Hobbies and Crafts-1.8X 5.5inch;5X 1inch4 best value- search amazon b4 buying. the prices are always going up and down - U can leave it in your cart and wait 4 the price to drop if it's currently more than U want 2 pay. I was pleasantly surprised to see how large this magnifying glass is in person, and I've found that it is perfect for scoping out small details on estate sale items.The thing that I absolutely love the most about this magnifying glass are the three LED lights that are located on the back side of it right below the giant lens. The lights are super useful for when you're trying to read in the dark or just trying to read something in bad lighting. The magnifying glass does require four triple A batteries which are not included with your purchase, but thankfully they are super easy to install inside of the handle.Along with my this magnifying glass I received a cloth for wiping the lens clean, and a very nice drawstring pouch. The drawstring pouch is just big enough for the large lens to fit inside of it, which is perfect for keeping it clean and safe when it is not in use. I am contemplating purchasing one of these for my mother for when she has to look over small details while she works from home. I would highly recommend this light up magnifying glass to family and friends, and I am very pleased with it so far.Please note that I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I'm a CPA who works with lots of spreadsheets. As my spreadsheets grow in size, the text/numbers get smaller in order to print everything on one page. Instead of squinting, I bought two of these - one for the office and the other for home.They're light, well-balanced and the led light is great when you need it.I definitely will recommend.

The viewing area is huge with a smaller glass built in for extreme closeups. Used to grade some old coins and really helped out. The light is a plus.
