My parents made me wear a similar product when I was a nail biting kid and I hated it -- but it worked. Stress & the pandemic somehow evolved to me biting my nails again as an adult, and I've been so mad at myself for restarting this habit. So I decided to look for the product that helped me stop once, and I found this one. And again, it works! I apply it every day/every other day; it dries quickly and it stays on my nails for at least 24 hours usually. It tastes absolutely awful, so just one absentminded finger near my mouth and I'm reminded to never do it again. It really helps break the habit!

Six weeks ago, my wife persuaded me to try Fidyn No Bite, after all my nails were down to, or almost to, the quick. I was amazed a how well it worked, because, frankly, it’s not all that terrible, and besides, I was pretty lax about using it. After the first application, my hands went to my mouth a half dozen times or so, and the taste would startle me into putting my hand down. It wears out after several hours, so you have to reapply, which I did faithfully for maybe a day and a half. After that I only used it when I remembered, which was, like, every other day, then every third day, then once a week, and now never. But I found that when I put my hand to my mouth, I would remember the taste, even though the taste wasn’t actually there. A complete success, and I have a lot left, in case I ever start biting again. Great product.

My son has been struggling with nail biting for a long time, and this product really helped me reduce the urge. The bitter taste works effectively, and it’s easy to apply like regular nail polish. After a few days, I noticed I was more aware of my habit and stopped biting as much. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is it needs reapplying fairly often. Overall, a very useful product for anyone trying to stop nail biting or thumb sucking.

The flavor of this deterrent is essentially non-existent. You can taste a VERY mild bitter flavor that only lasts about an hour. It suggest reapplication multiple times a day which is rather inconvenient and not practical. It is NOT a polish. It is a liquid that doesn't actually stick to your nails. It's like painting water on your nails. I will say that the fact that it dry clear is nice. No shiny polish. It may work for children that may be more sensitive to taste. But as from me and my 13 year old son, we could barely taste the bitterness. I wanted it to work because the price was really nice.Update 5/29/21: I am blown away by their customer service!! They sent me a very detailed email apologizing for the hassle of me having to send the product back (not a hassle AT ALL) and offering an explanation as to the reason the polish may not be as bitter to my son and I. They do it for safety reasons as some children are very sensitive to overly bitter flavors. Quite understandable!! They also explained that they are working on a formula that is stronger for people like my son and I that need a stronger determent and offered to send a bottle when it becomes available. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

Its okay. I bought because my daughter likes to bit her nails. She said it taste bad but it didn't keep her from biting. Seems like it doesn't stay on the nail very long.

Bought this for my 11yr old nephew who appears to get a case of the nerves when he is stressed or bored. He starts going to town on his finger nails and it grates my nerves [lol] because he bites this nails down to the meat of his fingers. Anyway, I thought this would be a good intervention since all others my sister and I tried with him failed. We proposed to him that since his grades and behavior has been good we'd treat him to a spa day and apart of the pampered treatment his nails would be serviced. So we applied the this product. While he didn't stop him from wanting to bite his nails it did deter him from continuing to bite and stay on his finger nails unlike previously. So, in my opinion this product does do what its intended to do.

I can’t say enough awful things about this product. It tastes like crap and it’s invisible so you don’t even remember you’ve applied it when you go to bite your nails. YUCK. Helped me stop biting my nails so well that I had to stop using it just to bite them again …wait, I guess that means it’s perfect. 5/5 for efficacy, 100/10 for never wanting to use again.

It works but at times very funny how she reacted when she sees the bottle. It would have been thrown in the bin 🤣🤣

Bought this for my toddler who was a nail biter but didn’t need to crack it open because the sight of the bottle stopped him in his tracks. 10/10 would buy again but don’t need to haha

Trash, consistency of water, no bitter taste whatsoever. Made in China, their support email is a GMAIL address! Seems like a scam.
