What amp should I pair with these?

Actually this set requires an amp that is stable at 1ohm as it dips down into that range when you crank it. I grabbed the Mosconi 200.4 which is a great 1ohm stable line.

Why was it discontinued?

All the k 2 power speaker's after 6 year come out with new models but old models or new models has same performance but new models is almost double cost wise older models is best deals
