6.5Ft x 50FT Garden Netting, Fine Mesh Insect Netting for Plant Protection

I bought this for my senior cat who wanted to be able to sit outside with me (yes on a harness and leash) but we live in the south where there’s more mosquitoes and I wanted to make sure my cat was protected. This netting is more than generous enough to go over a chair outside and reach the ground all the way around it with fabric to spare. So in terms of pets it is a must have to protect them from insect bites. Yes it keeps teeny tiny insects out too, so it’s wonderful to protect birds, though I’ve never had to use it from my cockatiels. It is versatile. It is very flexible yet thick enough to ensure that it is sturdy. Basically it doesn’t have elastic around the edges so it makes it completely versatile no matter what you need to drape it over. If your pet owner seriously add this one to your care kit cause you’re gonna want it!

I have purchased this item x2 now and will purchase again for next year's garden. I garden in a pesticide free P-Patch which translates to bad bug buffet. Last year I lost all of my potatoes to flea beetles. This year after planting I secured the netting around my potato box with simple bungee cord. I added bamboo sticks to raise the height as they and the netting did not rip. Also, built a 4 ft tall 'rough' enclosure with simple pvc pipe and again used this netting. I don't even have aphids in my tomatoes like my neighbors do. I did at first, most likely living in the soil and hatching, but once controlled no new ones were able to get in. Inside the netting I am growing bug free potato, Brussels Sprouts, Tomato & Collard greens. Just outside the netting I am battling leaf miner, aphids & cabbage butterfly larvae. We have a resident squirrel who insists on burying peanuts in my patch, but has not gone through the netting. I did watch a crow pull up a homemade wire stake I used. This stuff is more rugged then you think if you use common sense. I'm sure that I will have to trim the edges, but hope to use/reuse again. Huge Positive: You can water right through this netting. Only Negative: Edging is not finished - but does not fray at a rapid rate. SUGGESTIONS FOR GARDENERS: Have a plan - make a frame out of pvc, not wood to avoid tears. You can buy stakes or make your own - avoid bricks. Bugs will just crawl under. Stake one side of your enclosure securely, cover staking with dirt. Bugs will move on - too much work for them. Have one side with more infrequent stakes, but still cover edging with dirt. Mulch well so you can keep it enclosed as much as possible. To connect pieces I used those spring clips you use in the office.

very strong. It does not tear easily. When it does tear, however, it frays a lot. Cut with scissors or knife only. But as far as keeping insects out, it is very effective. Also know that it is white, slightly translucent, not really transparent at all.

When I stopped hunting, the need for that big powerful vacuum sealer went away as well. It took up too much counter space, so I went back to a smaller, effective vacuum sealer. But that machine wanted the ridged bags and I had maybe 1000, in various sizes, of the smooth bags. >.. In order to make the smooth bags suck air out, there needed to be something that allowed the air to escape, but would melt with the plastic of the bags. There were various solutions on the self-made video tube site, but none seemed easy to me or would work with my sealer. So, I searched for a thin 'ruffled' plastic that would allow air out and usually not interfere in the machine when it sealed the bags. >.. For me, this works. I cut a playing card sized piece of this netting, place it in the bag down towards the product, and up to the neck. then I slide the bag into the machine, triggering the vacuum process and the automatic seal. Before I take the bag out, I move it slightly and run the sealer a second time. >.. The air in the bag is sucked out, the seal closes the bag and the second seal usually is just a safety seal [to make sure] and not absolutely necessary, but . . . >.. I do not think the netting is melted, rather it looks intact as I examine the seal. What I think happens is that the air is drawn out over the netting, it is pressed when the bag is sealed and the bag 'melts' into the netting. I do make a second seal to assure myself that it is sealed. [Once i didn't and two days later it was full of air = not sealed.] So, now I do it twice, every time!

Bought this stuff to put up around my sun canopy as mosquito netting. The product is not really intended for this I don't think, but in the end I made it work. A few things you might want to know about it: Pros: It does actually function as mosquito netting Inexpensive Cons: Very delicate. I had to be very careful not to snag it on anything as I moved it around, because it was really easy to damage the weave. Hard to work with. I was working with a 8'x50' sheet of the stuff, and I have to say, it was not an easy task. It's lightweight, so the wind blew it around a lot, and it snags on EVERYTHING. Plus it's so easy to damage, I had to wear kid gloves the entire time to keep from putting holes in it. If you're going to get a lot of it, I suggest having a partner around to help you, especially if you care about what the finished product looks like. Edges fray like crazy. The edges are not finished in any way. The weave is very basic and it will unravel easily at the edges. Doesn't look great. The appearance of this stuff is pretty cheap. I managed to damage it while putting it up so that didn't help, but even if I hadn't it would still look super flimsy. I don't expect it to last. Conclusion: In the end, my purposes were served by this material, but it was probably not worth the $20 I saved by getting it instead of something a bit nicer. If I were going to do it all again, I'd buy some higher quality material that has finished edges, a stronger weave, and a bit more weight to it. I think it would work great for plant netting (as it's being advertised), but in any situation where the finished product needs to look halfway decent for a long time, I would look elsewhere.

Had to put this net over my blueberry bush because birds would feast them selves all day. This mesh net did the job and had all the blue berries to myself! Of course I did let the ones that fell for the birds.

The knitting is a good weight. I purchased for my new grandchild this time of year. There’s a lot of mosquitoes and bugs in the south, and we drape it over her playpen and stroller went out on walks. Good product would buy it again.

Keeps cabbage moths and leaf miners out, lets water through the netting, you can see inside unlike row cover. Cover carrots right after seeding until harvest to keep click Beatles out, and no wire worms to eat them. Very very happy with this years harvest.

Habe das Netz früher bekommen als angegeben. Das war schon ml sehr erfreulich. Kann leider noch nicht sehr viel sagen. Das Material fühlt sich wertig an. Jedoch etwas plastikmäßig. Über die Handhabung werde ich später berichten. Gemüse Saison ist ja noch nicht angefangen.
