Good for mindful RV'ers, though get the EMS unit instead if you are not mindful at all times
It works as it should and the app is pretty good. It shows you real time stats of the wattage, amps and accumulated kwh power usage. Serious RV'ers recommend only using an EMS system for complete protection in all circumstances. I would say this non ems surge protector is fine as long as you check the outlet yourself every single time before pluggin in the RV connector. This surge protector will tell you if the outlet is working correctly if you just plug it in first, then you plug in the RV last once everything checks out.If you want to save some money and you are diligent about checking the outlet every single time before connecting the rv plug, then I recommend this surge protector. If you don't want to worry about anything and not have to think about this stuff, you will need the EMS surge protector which is roughly twice as expensive.

Good Product
This works great, I love seeing how much power Iโm using

Great tool, a little kludgy
Identified our inverter generator as having hot and neutral reversed (instead of no neutral-ground bond) but confined to pass power, which for me is good. The Bluetooth integration is a little kludgy and the app seems to have been abandoned with promises of features "coming soon" but it works for what I need it for as gives me an online ammeter (via the app) on my 30amp Shore power mains.

Hope to never find out its not working
Fabulous. Already found 2 circuits in my house wired backwards. Exactly what a $5 circuit tester from big box stores could do. I don't want this thing to find a power surge, but that's what I bought it for and that's what it should be doing I guess we'll never know. The neat stuff is that it'll Bluetooth into your phone with a downloaded app from the Play Store and give you all kinds of neat readouts straight to your phone. You have to remember though if you don't plug it in it cannot reach the app or your phone. Also you cannot expect it to give you readouts miles away. After all it's a Bluetooth device at best we're talkin 30 feet. It does everything it says it does and I hope to never know if it protected a surge or not I just hope it keeps on working. Others have raised the question on whether or not it can be stolen. It can be stolen but you would notice it immediately as your entire trailer Powers down if you happen to be home at the time. I think thieves would be more inclined to steal everything from your campsite not just this one item unless of course it's a kleptomaniac. Campers tend to be on the honorable side , and in the more rustic non monitored camp areas we usually don't have electricity, so it's a bit of a moot point.can they steal it? yes. But I've never had anything stolen from a campsite yet, and ive been camping upwards of 40 years. The protector is a bit pricey and I don't know if the technology is worth it or not. I know I recently paid $138 for a power inverter that may have been saved had I bought this item earlier. Or perhaps it was just time for that power inverter to go...These are the things we'll just never know but the money just always flows...

Good looking unit, app works good, limited Bluetooth range
Looks good and the app works good, limited Bluetooth range thatโs for sure. I like the idea of a replaceable surge module. The quality looks good but time will tell how it works.
