Yes, LDK soldering iron has a light indicator that turns on when the iron is powered on.

what is the lowest temperature that the iron will go to?

There is a dial to set the temperature and I believe the range is 125 - 300, but I'm not positive. I'm in the middle of some major projects in my house, so this item is boxed away somewhere and not readily available for me to confirm.

Is the solder wire lead free?

According to the Amazon listing, the solder contains 60% lead. "Tin/Lead 60/40"

Will this work for soldering pick ups on a electric guitar?
