What kind of magnesium do these tablets have and if you have Triple containing oxide, Citrate and asparatate

MgO, Magnesium Oxide is only 4% bio-available in the human body because it's a LAXATIVE!  If your deficiency includes severe constipation, then MgO is good for that.  I don't know what their enteric additive is, or if it increases MgO's solubility in water, but IN GENERAL, MgO is virtually insoluble in water, which is why it is so poorly absorbed in the gut and causes diarrhea.  The best absorbed form at 16% is Magnesium Glycinate (many names - google alternate names - it's 2 atoms of glycine for 1 atom of ELEMENTAL Mg.  Your body also needs LOTS of Glycine, as well as Mg.

With MgO, many manufacturers list the COMPOUND WEIGHT as though it were the ELEMENTAL weight, which is cheating on a massive scale and contributes to the 70% of Americans that are VERY deficient in Mg Elemental.  The Daily Value (%DV on labels) is calculated for the ELEMENTAL WEIGHT of minerals, NOT COMPOUND WEIGHT.  So manufacturers that list the compound as fulfilling DV% are greedy bastards getting very wealthy especially with MgO as it is the cheapest form of Mg on earth.  If your Dr thinks MgO is a decent source of Mg, he's a FOOL!

To get the DV 100% of MgO, you would need to take 10,500 mg/10 1/2 Grams of MgO per day at 420mg Elemental requirement for DV 100% as measured per compound weight!  In contrast, Magnesium Glycinate requires only 2,625 mg/2.625 Grams per day to satisfy the same 420mg Adult Male requirement for 100% DV!
