Great Product!!
There's a lot of cameras out there but for the quality, functionality, and price, you'll find it extremely difficult to find one equal to and / or better than this. As a motorcycle helmet cam, it's proven to be top notch with easy operation and excellent clarity and durability. For me, an older generation non tech-y guy, the initial setup was sometimes a bit foggy but with a quick e-mail too their customer service, help was rendered quickly and I was up and running. Also, the App for recorded data is useful and easy to navigate via your smartphone. Overall, with the crystal clear simultaneous front and rear coverage, this is a wonderful product for an excellent price and is great for entertainment, but more importantly a necessity for motorcycle safety and can see it being a very useful tool in mishap / legality situations with the occasional / frequent unobservant driver.

Very good thought through camera
There's a lot to consider when buying one of these things. For the price, I believe you will not likely find a better product. Aside from the camera, they have multiple mounting options, and there are multiple ways to retrieve the data. You'll need to buy the Micro SD card. It wouldn't hurt to purchase a Micro SD card reader if you don't have one, but you can plug the cable into a PC and pull the files that way. I used the recommended Viidure application. Know that these are MP4 files, so you will need an app that can play MP4's. I've yet to purchase video editing software, but I feel pretty strongly that a good editing software will allow zoom in and the ability to chop out sections of the videos, and do some enhancements. As for the camera, the quality is great. I can't see any distortion from things like camera shake. The mounting device’s are superior. The manual is excellent, but you'll need to play around with the camera to figure out exactly what you want to do with it. There’s a million things to consider. I could go on an on. It's a good buy. I recommend it.

pity about the sound and would have been fantastif if 4K
I would have preferred being a 4K and surely would be a winner. Instructions lack a bit and would have liked sound without a crackle. I like it a lot for what it is.

Works great!
I used it for 1 year already and it works great. There is no issues. It has nice features like indicating turning on and off with different vibrations, capturing front and back videos, small size. The video quality is very good for such small dash camera.

a must have safety device
Well the sound is just wind noise, but the video quality is excellent. Front and back cameras record everything, that truck tailgating you? on video, that suv runs the red light? on video. See something cool snap a picture with the remote. Also mark a video spot with the remote, locks it in so you don't inadvertently erase it. Adds confidence to your ride, motorist notice it on your helmet and become model citizens, no one wants to be on candid camera. Excellent value for your piece of mind. Easy set up even for the tech challenged like myself. Get on the app and adjust the camera angle to fit you and enjoy.

Almost perfect
Let me start off saying it is good, for what it’s used for… it is good. I like the cameras ease of use. One button to operate all the functions on the camera is simple and effective, it keeps it easy. The quality of video is good, you can adjust the video quality in the app to your liking. Wind noise is deafening, I usually will turn it down during play back. To plug the camera in to charge is pretty tight if you’re leaving attached to your helmet but can be done with some patients. The camera run time is pretty close as advertised. I get anywhere from 2 hours and 10 minutes to 2 hours and 40 minutes. The camera feels really good in your hand, the quality of the camera housing is what jumps out at when you open the box. Customer service is great, Dave is quick to answer questions, concerns and offer suggestions, even though I’m across the pond. What keeps this camera from being perfect is the app and the way it connects to my iPhone. For whatever reason, to pull video via my app, it can only be done when I put my phone on airplane mode. It’s not a big deal just makes it finicky. Even with coaching from Dave it didn’t change it. Again not a big deal. The app won’t let you see videos while the camera is in use, seems like a small thing but being able to check camera view quick while you’re riding would be a great asset to this cameras/app functions. As it is now you have to go into the wifi, connect to the camera, then pull up the app, click on camera in the app to see what it see’s to ensure your view is not blocked. That’s a lot to to do just for a quick check. Although the bracket I used keeps it secure and in the same place. It’s not a deal breaker just something you have understand when you’re purchasing this camera. Now for the mounting parts…I was disappointed to see the brackets that mounts to the sticky base was not of the quality I hoping for. The very small screw on the bottom of the bracket so you can adjust the angle of the camera is too small. The small screw doesn’t scream security to me. Also no matter how tight the screw is the camera still rotates even though the screw is tight and the bracket is notched. I had to opt for my GoPro bracket and accessories for a level confidence in holding the camera. There’s just a different feels to the GoPro brackets and bits. Having said all that about the mounting pieces and the app, I still feel it was good purchase. Having footage of my rides is nice insurance when an event happens. As well as the ability to go back to a section of ride and critique my riding. Overall, it’s a good quality camera that does as advertised. I do like that it’s not attached to my bike but rather my helmet, if I switch bikes it just makes it so much easier. Not to mention the camera sees what I see. I often get asked about it by other riders and drivers while stopped at lights.Six months later now;The camera completely stopped working. I got the insurance luckily enough. They sent to shop to try and fix which they could not. I was reimbursed for the camera in Amazon credit.

Think Twice before Purchasing
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Techalogic DC-1 camera February 27th 2022. Used for about 10 hours total time. Then last week, February 26th 2024 camera stopped working. Does not stay powered on, Bluetooth will not turn on, cannot reformat SD card.Reached out to Techalogic UK for help. Provided purchase information, SD card information and videos of camera not turning on.Result is, camera has a hardware fault and Techalogic is not able to offer a repair for this issue.I was hoping they would stand behind their product, but they didn't.$230 gone in the trashI had highly recommended this product to my motorcycle and electric scooter friends, unfortunately I no longer feel the same and will not recommend this to anyone, I will also dissuade anyone from purchasing this camera. Why would I buy another Techalogic product???

Great for the first week however experiencing formatting issues
Had a great time the first week, but after trying to format a brand new 128gb SD I am unable to get the camera to work again. I have contacted Techalogic and I'm hoping to get it sorted before returning. It seems to boot ok and recognize consistent with a 32gb SD card but the 64gb SD card is recognized about half the time. Both are fat32 formatted as well as the 128gb.

Bow-techa-wow-wow
The media could not be loaded. I'd been debating a recording device for a while due to having started riding again for health and fun. And having had issues with both a car and pedestrians (on a shared pathway), I dived headlong into looking in to sports cameras for any future incidents that may arise. It took a few days to decide on what I was looking for in a camera (front and rear recording cameras) and there werent many to choose from.I did have some reservations about ordering this product at first, read a few reviews on cycling and motorbike sites and decided to take the leap in ordering this camera. It comes in a nice box with the camera, which is solidly made three helmet fittings (motorbike, horse and bike), but no proper instructions, other than a QR card which will direct you to the Techalogic D-1 page on their website. From the website, it explains (step by step walkthrough and videos) how to connect your camera with your mobile phone for the purpose of connecting to wi-fi. For it to connect and work however, you do need to have a micro-sd installed, otherwise it won't, well, work...The most annoying bit was actually getting the camera connected to my mobile phone and wi-fi. It took some time to work it out, even with the help of the walkthrough and the videos. Go with the VIIDURE app for recording purposes. Before freaking out though with this and deciding to send it back, please be patient as it does connect (I found turning my VPN off whilst connecting to my wi-fi helped), and once its set-up, going forward its a piece of piss on connecting easily my phone and the app anytime I need to retrieve the videos.Thd quality of the recordings are great and detail is topnotch. It can clearly make out number plates when reviewing any recordings, and it does pick up any voices on the mic if you're not pelting it. Alas though, once you're going at a fair pace, it is a constant noise of wind in to the mic. (Check the attached video for both wind noise and me tinging my bell and thanking the dog walker at about 40 seconds in, even though i nearly get taken out by his dog 3 seconds later). It does have two additional recording options if you wish to change the default setting. As I've left it as is, I'm sure the recordings are also great on the options, but can't guarantee it. Also one of the options is front recording only.I highly recommend getting a camera for cycling as people (drivers/pedestrians) will be aware of the camera attached to your helmet, thus giving you some clout if you're abused or buzzed by over-enthusiastic car drivers. You cannot go wrong with the Techalogic D-1 dual camera. It is a bit pricey at just under £200, but for peace of mind, it's well worth it.Edit: having used this a few times, battery length is longer than advised. Can confirm on todays ride (20.09.2022), I got to 3 hours and 8 minutes with juice still in the battery.

Excellent camera and Uk support but a serious flaw - Edit: Now FIXED!
I have waited a little while to spend time with the camera before writing this review. The build quality is excellent, the picture quality is faultless and the UK support is second to none, prompt, efficient and courteous. The mounts available in the box are quite excellent, enabling many different options for many different applications. The swivel attachment means this works if you have different styles of bikes which have different riding positions. It’s a GoPro mount so if anything is wanting you know it’s a standard and supported mount. I would really like to give this 5 stars but I can’t. There is a serious software issue that apparently cannot be fixed. The camera will turn off after 3 minutes of what it thinks is inactivity or as we know it; driving on the motorway. The camera will turn itself off and be totally useless from that point until you stop and notice it’s switched off. This is a serious flaw and means you should either avoid motorways or plan your accident / near miss before you get on the motorway, not after. It’s a real shame as the camera is brilliant and the price is well worth it, but when it turns off incorrectly it’s useless.Edit: I have now changed this from 3 stars to 5 stars. The flaw with the camera turning OFF while in use is fixed by Techalogic's recommendation to use the Viidure app, rather than Roadcam. With Viidure you can turn off the energy saving/sleep mode. Now the camera is perfect. I rode 200 miles recently on motorway and it stayed on the whole time. Thank you Techalogic for a fantastic product.

Good camera spoilt by tacky fitting kit.
First off, it was delivered 7 days earlier than stated! Very pleased with the delivery. On first opening the box you are faced with the camera and a bewildering array of plastic bags containing various fittings and screws. No explanation as to what to do with them all. This isn't just a problem with Techalogic , it seems to be the pattern for all manufacturers forcing us to go online to find the information needed. I would happily pay a bit more for a decent printed manual. The camera itself seems to be a solid well made bit of kit, very light as it needs to be and, after going online to download the manual, pretty simple to operate. The video quality is excellent both front and rear and can be downloaded directly from the camera to PC using the USB cable supplied. The supplied fixing kits seem poor quality and don't reflect the quality of the camera. Again, I would pay a bit more for better quality fixing kit parts. If you do go online, the Techalogic website has some very good how to videos and web support is good. The app suggested on the Amazon description in questions (VF Cam) failed to find the camera. After downloading another app using the QR code (RoadCam) supplied, I was able to connect the camera to that app. The app can be a bit temperamental at times but its not bad. Downloading a video to your phone is quite slow but using your phone to view your videos without downloading is pretty quick. All in all its a very good camera and certainly an improvement on the square box type plus the advantage of rear recording. If your looking for a decent cycle camera you won't go far wrong with this.
