MALEDEN Refillable Spiral Daily Notepad Classic Embossed Travel Journal Diary

I bought this as a little outdoor journal for my daughter, and she LOVES it! The cover feels so nice — way higher quality than I expected for the price — and the whole journal has a really charming, special feel to it. I love that it’s refillable, so she can keep using it even after she fills it up. The A6 size is just right for her — big enough to write comfortably, but small enough to carry around easily. The little charms on the cover are a cute touch and make it feel extra special. You get a lot of pages for the cost, and the refill paper is really affordable too, which makes this a great long-term option. Overall, it’s a fantastic value for something so well-made. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one!

NOTE: This journal does NOT come with lined paper! The lined paper pictured above was bought separately, but from the same company. — I bought this journal near the beginning of this year (2022) and it’s held up well. While I have not used it an immense amount, I have yet to find any durability faults at this time. It’s an incredibly cute and aesthetically pleasing (for me at least) looking journal with a very neutral design. As mentioned above, this journal did not come with lined paper, but with blank paper. This company, however offers packages of lined paper separately, as well as refill packages of the blank sheets. There’s nothing wrong with the blank sheets, I personally just swapped them out because I intended to use the journal for writing and I’m a very messy writer without guiding lines. I personally like the fact that you can swap out the paper as well as the binder clip style of it. It makes it easy to move around and swap out sheets as needed. The reason I haven’t used it a ton isn’t because of anything wrong with it, but because I bought as more of a side journal than a daily one, so I only write in it when I feel I need to. If I were to have any complaint, it’d be about the charms. Specifically, the anchor charm. While the helm charm is nice for keeping the binds wrapped around the journal, the anchor charm is always getting hooked and stuck on things. It’s more of a minor annoyance, but still an annoyance nonetheless. That being said, while I haven’t tried myself, the charms look like they could be easily removed if you wanted them to be. So, if the anchor is too much of an annoyance, it can more than likely be removed and potentially even replaced if desired. Overall, a nice little journal.

Objective: inexpensive log book. Definitely vegan. Preferably not unattractive. My husband and I very carefully plan our annual road trip for Record Store Day (yes, it's a real holiday), locating as many participating independent record stores as we can visit within the course of the day at which to buy our carefully-chosen records from the exclusive list. I needed to organize the names and addresses of the participating stores, write or type our shopping lists, and keep all these scraps together with our receipts for the duration of the travel. Since Record Store Day is our wedding anniversary, I keep all these slips of paper with our photo albums, etc.. I type our lists and am attempting to organize. The size and weight were great. It is attractive and lightweight. The binder rings do work (I'd worried!) despite the low price of the binder. The cover is not very thick and I didn't test its weight, but it didn't crack after being opened and closed a lot in a short period (as vinyl might have). We referred to the contents all day. We used the kraft paper it came with for notes (tolls, a notation to map out rest stops!, etc.). Our lists were on dot grid paper to ease referencing. We cut a sealed envelope across the top and punched the sides so that we could keep our receipts together. I also printed directions to each destination in case the GPS failed. There was a lot that I wanted to attempt to organize (not my best thing) in a small space. It worked. I carried it into the stores so that we could refer to our lists and make notes about the stores for next year. Because it's a binder, I can neatly remove the pages to keep forever in another binder, and carry this again next year.

Really impressed by this journal, to be honest, I wasn't expecting much out of a journal at this price point, but this is a quality journal. I was concerned because this is a PU leather rather than a genuine leather, but this is great, while it is not exactly real leather it is made to look and feel better than most cheap genuine leather. It's not as nice as say a top or full grain leather but I really like this. This should last for years to come. It has a unique design in that the back cover comes up around the paper, and the cover lays over the top of this flap. The thing I don't like about this journal is that the leather that wraps the spine and wraps around the cover to keep it closed is brown. Not a fan of the jewels that hangs off the strands of leather either. I actually cut all this off, and have sewn a magnet closure for the cover to keep it securely closed. The brown just contrasted and stood out in a bad way. I like the look much better now. I also don't use this as a journal, I use it as a day planner, for this reason I like that it is refillable. Don't get me wrong, the paper it comes with is very nice, it's an unlined grainy looking ivory paper. Thankfully there are a couple brands that offer refills for this size of journal, so when you run out of paper, no worries, you can get more paper or planner material. I received this journal at a small discount in exchange for my fair and honest review. This is a great little journal at an affordable price point. I would recommend this journal to anyone. It does also come in other colors to fit your personality, I chose the black one.

Bonne confection pour ce carnet. La couverture est bien gravée, proprement détourée. Sa taille permet de l'emporter dans le sac à main (pas trop lourd). Idée cadeau ou pour noter ses idées au fil de la journée!
