size #8 50lb power swivel did not disappoint! i decided to test them as i got my package. i put two sizes of snap swivels on either end of the spro swivel and attached the swivels to 150lb mono and tried to pull them apart! Bam it broke but i thought the spro swivel gave way, Nope, it held against 2 larger albeit snap swivels! see pics!! the swivel ends are stretched but it held a massive amount of weight, im pretty sure i was pulling well over 50lbs! not a scientific test but i feel safer with these tiny swivels over my much larger snaps. i will be getting these in the water soon with wire leader and going for some big fish! maybe ill even pick up a larger size also😎

Remarkably durable. I've used these in saltwater for years. For spinning reels, significantly reduces the frequency of birdsnests

As mentioned by others if you order from Amazon llc. you will get a swivel that is larger, has a dull finish, does not spin well and is made in CHINA not JAPAN. Ordered some from CHAOS Fishing and they were genuine, made in Japan and awesome.

Love these swivels. Very small size, smaller than most other swivels, and well-made also. I use them to join braid/nanofil mainlines to my leader. Amazon had a great price on these, and were one of the few places I could find the 50-pack. Although these swivels are great, and I will continue to use them, I've since found a better solution to joining line to leader -- tippet rings. Do an online search for them, they are extremely lightweight and will literally float on the water if needed, but have enough strength.

I use these as a connection between leader and tippet while salmon/steelhead fishing. Never had one fail.
