D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze Coated Acoustic Guitar Strings 11-52

I'm the cheapest when it comes to acoustic guitar strings. $14... Was it for me. Not anymore for $7 more is sooooo worth it. The amount of string balance, sustain and clarity is amazing. These d'adario strings will make your $450 guitar sound as good as a $1000. Just amazing. And they feel great on your fingers. A lot less fatigued.... I will buys them for ever.

What else can I say about D’Addario? They are and always have been my favorite brand of strings for all of my guitars acoustic and electric. Have a plan since I was a kid and now I’m 61 years old, always a favorite of mine.

These XS strings are worth every single penny. The Custom Light gauge strikes the absolute perfect balance—easy on the fingers for practicing chord transitions and smooth bends, while still retaining a full, rich low end. The ultra-thin coating is completely unnoticeable under your fingers and successfully eliminates any of that annoying finger squeak, but best of all, it keeps them sounding brand new for months. Even with daily practice sessions, the tone stays bright and crisp, and the tuning stability is rock-solid. A fantastic investment for any acoustic guitar player!

These strings sound real good on all three of my guitars. Two Taylor’s and one Martin. They last a long time, usually I replace them only once a year. Comfortable on the fingers.

I like the sound and feel of these strings. They are comfortable to play and have a very nice tone. I’m using the 10-52 gauge on 00 and 000 bodies. I previously used D’addario Phosphor Bronze which sounded brighter to me, and were less comfortable to play, even though the string tension is basically the same. I prefer the warmer tone of the “XS” strings. I have not tried them on a larger body. The only thing I don’t care for is the packaging. They are wrapped in pairs and identified by a black or brass end. My eyes aren’t great and I prefer strings that are color coded or wrapped individually. Just my preference.

So I've been playing guitar for 40 years and have used all the big names and different coated strings over the yrs..I will say without any hesitation these Diadario XS are game changer ! Since I started using them 2 years ago I am absolutely in love with them..They are natural sounding, warm, earthy..definitely not your run of the mill coated string..fact is I got tired of coated strings a few years ago because you have to sacrifice tone for longevity. Not anymore , I can't not tell they are coated at all (no slick feeling).I have had a set on on all three of my preforming acoustics (Martin D 18, Taylor 310 & Eastman E20D).. 4 months and still awesome sound..still like new. Highly recommend

queste corde sono indubbiamente tra le mie preferite per la chitarra acustica, infatti entrambe le mie chitarre montano queste. dopo anni di ricerca e di prove continue, e dopo aver ristretto il campo a poche marche, scambiato pareri e confrontato scalature e tensioni, posso dire di essere giunto alla scelta definitiva. Queste corde infatti garantiscono un suono brillante ma corposo, ben bilanciato e con la giusta tensione, che non stanca la mano sinistra e risponde bene alla destra. vanno ottimamente sia su arpeggio che sullo strumming, e non ultimo, forniscono una risposta in volume davvero molto buona e presente. forse migliorerei il packaging, ma in fondo, perchè sprecare carta o plastica per confezionare le corde singolarmente? forse per curiosità e per abitudine, ogni tanto proverò qualcosa d'altro, ma per ora mi fermo qui.

Good. After 2 months of everyday use, signs of fraying or corrosion are only present on some wound strings around 2nd and 3rd fret and on G string around picking area, but the strings still sound like new. This gauge has perfect balance of tone and tension across strings.

I bought a guitar that had these strings fitted, and having never used them before on other guitars, I was immediately taken in by their smooth feel and pleasing tonality. Yes, they are expensive, but I am told they outlast ‘traditional’ strings which usually have to be changed more often. So really the cost is a no brainer. I was so impressed with these strings, I have decided to use them on all my instruments in future. I highly recommend them to any prospective buyers.

I tried a pack, based on a friend's recommendation. The tone lasts a lot longer than I expected. Really good quality Strings.

Atrocious sound, my Taylor AD22 suddenly sounds like a fish can. I wanted to scale down to 011 to ease the tension on the fingers...I did so on another Taylor guitar with Martin light strings o11 and got the ease and a mellow sound, not this shrill metal string sound.
