They're decent knives that hold an edge reasonably well in a portable roll for a great price. They are cheap enough that I'm not going to cry if I leave them somewhere when I cook at someone else's place. And they hold an edge well enough that I know I can get the job done well. I do a lot of BBQ so it's not under of for me too have to trim ribs or brisket and cook it at a friend's or sibling's house. And with these I don't have to rely on whatever I find in their drawer of knives. I can get the job done clean them up and put them away. Easily worth the money.

I was a bit skeptical because of some of the reviews people were leaving saying they'd received dull blades in their kits. In my case however everything was sharp and ready to go. I've been very careful while using them, trying not to dang up the blades, but I'll be having to sharpen them here before too long. I've use the carving knife many times for turkeys and brisket, and the smaller (What I'm guessing is a boning knife) to trim fat off my brisket and to break down chicken. While I do like the kit, it's build quality isn't the best, namely the rolling kit it comes with. But the knives have been a treat to work with. For what I spent, these knives have already paid for themselves.
