Parallele Bread Knife – Serrated, Curved Blade for Slicing Bread and Tough Rinds, High Carbon X50CrMoV15 Stainless Steel, Made in France

I needed a proper bread knife and found out Opinel made one so I had to try it out. It’s perfect for sourdough and crusty breads. I love this specific serration and curved blade. Great quality steel and wood handle. Its definitely worth the price and on-par with more expensive Japanese knives.

V sharp and v good

Our old bread knife would just crush the loaf. This one slices right through without tearing everything apart. The blade’s sharp out of the box. Handle feels simple and solid. Feels fancy and works great. It is a little longer than I thought, so I had to rearrange where it fits in my drawer, but other than that it’s been great for baguettes and other breads too.

Knife is inexpensive and works great. This is maybe the best bread knife I've ever owned. What else is there to say. If I lost it I would buy it again.

This knife is sharp and beautiful (cut bread like butter), but its quality is not as good as the older knives I have. I have a same model knife that I’ve had for over a decade, and it has a thicker blade than this one. It seems like they’re compromising on quality to keep the price low.

Excellent excellent bread knife. Long enough to carve through loafs of bread and the curve in the blade makes it that much easier.

En casa hacemos nosotros mismos el pan. Nos gusta la corteza gruesa y crujiente, como a la mayoría y cortala ha sido, hasta hoy, una pesadilla. La forma ergonómica de este cuchillo Opinel y sus 21 cm de hoja de acero de alta calidad, impiden golpearse los nudillos contra la mesa al cortar el pan. El último centímetro de la rebanada es crítico y es el que más cuesta de cortar, pero la forma ovalada de la hoja facilita acabar el corte con éxito. Son destacables los 1.5mm de grosor de la hoja que no desgarra el pan de molde ni otros panes igual de delicados. Hay cuchillos en el mercado que seguramente cortan mejor, yo no los he probado, pero... ¿a este precio? Por cierto, como la mayoría de los cuchillos hay que lavarlo a mano con un trapo húmedo con agua tibia y secarlo inmediatamente. Nunca al lava-vajillas aunque el fabricante diga que no hay problema.

Bästa brödkniven som existerar och dessutom den vackraste ! Har använt global, Victorinox och Mac , alla är betydligt sämre och patetiskt nog dyrare + vackrast och bästa , absolut högsta tänkbara kvalitet!!! - Finns inga minus !
