The case is clear. The garlic peeler I received is green.

Does it peel very tiny cloves of garlic?

this works great, but I do have a problem with some tiny cloves of garlic. if the cloves are too small I just discard them as some are just too small to peel.

I am not sure. There is no mfg info on the materials I have left. I can say that it works as good as other reviewers have indicated. I have not noticed any food contamination from it.

Do the garlic cloves come out firm or mushy?

They come out a little rustled up but firm. The little sleeve does a great job of separating the paper like skin from the clove. Quick, easy, and simple every time.
