YHTAUTO Front Hood Gas Struts Lift Supports for Hyundai Sonata 2015-2017

Attached just like it should and provides good support. Installation was easy.

Great.. Works as expected. Easy to install. Opens with ease. Close done great. Height and length fits my Hyundai Sonata 2015 I don't have to look for something to hold my hood up..yay!!! Hood support great!!!

Had my mechanic stick them on he did it in like 2 minutes and they have worked perfectly.

Perfect fit, and does the job well. Still working after years of use.

Fit Sonata 2017 perfectly. Replacement took about 5 minutes (they just snap into place). Would have cost me several hundred $$ at the dealership. Still hold up 2 years later.

First you should know that I didn't use them on my car. Six years ago my sister was yeeted off a ferris wheel at the state fair and broke her neck and now she's paralyzed. Not like Stephen Hawking paralyzed but like, she can't wipe. Anywho, she's in a wheelchair and I like to play pranks on her. I put these pistons on one side of her wheelchair and rigged it up so when she started moving it would flip over and it totally worked lmao. We were at my cousin's wedding and she had to give a speech so I wheeled her up to the front and flipped the switch. Right in the middle of the speech she moved the chair and it slowly flipped over sideways lmao. People started screaming and I'm like uh, can't really get worse guys relax. It was so good her champagne went everywhere. The amount of pressure these things have is INSANE.

Did a great job replacing the IEM struts. Fit well and it keeps the hood up now!

I ordered these because the ones on my 2016 Sonata couldn't keep the hood up any longer and in fact once caused the hood to almost take my head off. We had been using strut clamps to hold the hood in place and they worked well but we decided it was time to replace the hood struts. They shipped directly from China and were extremely well packaged with a kind of bubble wrap I'd never seen before. I had to watch a youtube video to learn how to install them because it isn't obvious. The only tools needed are a couple of sharp picks to get under and pry up the spring clips holding the struts in place, although a small screwdriver might work. The whole job only took a few minutes this afternoon and now I have a hood that doesn't double as a guillotine.
