I combined this with my BAOFENG UV-5G Pro to get extra range while doing railspotting and it works quite well.I did field testing and I was able to receive signals from much further than the stock antenna was capable of receiving.The antenna can sometimes be a bit annoying sticking up so tall, but since it's a whip style you can just bend it over and it takes up about half the vertical space.The build quality for this "ABBREE" brand on the larger antennas seems to be questionable, at best, but this one seems quite solid and was a great addition to my BAOFENG radio.

Noticeable improvement over stock rubber ducky antennas. Flexible whip is sturdy, bends out of the way when you snag it on obstables in the brush without putting stress on the radio's antenna connector. I'm using them on Kenwood P25 VHF radios for public safety for extended range when we're waaaaay out in the fringe areas from our repeaters. They also seem to work quite well in the UHF business band / GMRS frequencies (adds an extra mile or so of simplex coverage in dense wooded areas as compared to stock antennas). Note: will not work on Motorola XTS2500 / 5000 series radios although the antennas do fit - seems the neck on the antenna is not long enough to make connection to the center pin on the radio. No fault of the antenna, just a personal note. Works fine with other SMA-F radios I've tried them with.

I have had mixed results with "ABBREE" products, as some of their antennas were trash. These seem to be working well, though I have no meter to test them with, I do notice better reception when compared to the stock antenna with my radio. They seem well built, thinner than other versions I've tried, but sturdy for being flexible. Well done!

Works well on my beofang! It seems the signal is clearer and cleaner.

My old antenna material cracked, and I needed a replacement one. This is thinner than the original and has much better flexibility. I am going to guess it will outlast the radio. Would purchase another for this radio's eventual replacement.

I pick up less VHF channels than I do with the stock 6" Baofeng antenna. Maybe the UHF will work better, however I haven't been able to test it specifically yet
