Does this need a pump to clean the water if fish are added?

It isn’t really big enough for fish more a wildlife pond I have oxygenating plants in mine and the water is clear

Can this be used with earth banked up around it rather than diggin a hole for it?

Yeah it’s the same difference really if not better. The reason being you can pack the mud in tight around the contours as you bank the earth up around it. Mines buried and although it only took 10 minutes with a spade to dig back filling it took longer as I had to lay down and push the earth into all the contours by hand to make sure it was buried properly

Says 85cm is that the pond or to the outside of the lip

I can’t really remember but the lip isn’t very big. Pond is very sturdy.

Could the edges be trimmer by 2-3cm?

It should be possible, but it is better to keep the edge as it is to prevent soil from falling in. We covered the edges and area surrounding the pond with slate chippings.
