I had the regular steel coconut breaker for many years but it was blunt & taking time. Was in search for a good quality breaker & found this. Pros: 1. The quality of material is fantastic. It is very sturdy & the metal looks like EN8 as claimed in the description. 2. The blade portion is very sharp and long. Breaking coconut will be a breeze on this. 3. The bowl is deep enough to retain all water 4. It is heavy duty & sturdy Cons: 1. Comparatively this is expensive than the regular steel ones. This costed me 500/- & steel ones are in the range of 250 to 300. 2. The cutting edge is sharp so caution is required. Keep it away from children. In case you use coconuts on daily basis this breaker is an absolute must in the kitchen. This will not spoil the tiled floor & will last forever. I purchased a Coconut meat removal knife (Baskety make in Amazon around 429/-). This is also a unique product to remove the white portion from shell. The breaker & the knife will make your kitchen work very easy.

I find it useful to break a coconut. As it is of hand palm size, one has to ensure it is placed on something unmovable under it (I use thick folded cloth) to ensure it does not move while hitting coconut on it. Otherwise it is good N sturdy. Having something under it is also to ensure you don't break your tiles 😊. Using it directly on rough surface is fine. While doing review earlier I had come across someone's review who said they keep it in one hand and break coconut 🥥 on it using the other hand. But I don't use that option for my own safety. It is for each one to decide as per their own preference and ability. But I would strongly recommend NOT to keep it in an open area where you might step on it by mistake or it might fall on you, especially care has to be taken if kids are there, because the blade is thick and sharp. It is a tiny tool so please handle with care, keep it in a place that you remember and where you can see it but don't have to reach that place often. Overall nice product.

Very useful to break the coconut. It's sharp edge cuts the coconut perfectly into two halves making it easy to grate. Water doesn't spill over

Package arrived today and it is exactly as shown in the details. Made of cast iron. Really heavy and thus quite useful when you hit the coconut against the blade as it does not move an inch( put some towel beneath if you are using it above your counter top so that a possible damage can be prevented). This is for those who are afraid to break the coconut with the back of a knife. It is the size of open palm of an average adult ( chk the pic attached). I have tried breaking coconut with this. Tender coconut breaking is a bliss and those dried ones are nightmares.
