These items were great, but I kind of recommend that you put some type of sealant around the hose just for an extra measure. It’s what I did.

The power supply and wireless throttle for my garden railroad are located in a plastic box. The AC power cord has to go into the box and both track power and 12V DC power need to exit the box. I used round cross section rubber cable for all three box penetrations and sealed them with the correct sized Cable Glands Joints. Even though I only needed three, I wasn't really sure what size(s) I needed, so I got this 20-pack which contained four each of 5 different sizes. It worked perfectly for me, because I could drill any hole size I needed in the side of my plastic box. If you are planing to use these with standard outdoor conduit boxes or standard conduit fittings, you'll be unhappy because these are metric, and none of the sizes and threads line up with anything we use for electrical in the USA. I took a star off of the "Easy to use" category because these don't match up with normal electrical boxes and fittings.

Overall I would say I am satisfied with my purchase. It's pretty difficult to find this item at an electrical supply house and when they do have them they're expensive. I am using them to pass UV rated shielded cat-5 from a junction box and the first thing I did was see how many terminated RJ-45 cables could fit through them. Here is what I found: The largest size can easily fit one bootless Rj-45 cable through, though it could barely seal around the cable. It is possible to get two through but I could not get them back out without cutting an end off. The second largest size can just fit one bootless RJ-45 cable and can seal nicely. The smaller sizes are too small to fit an RJ-45 but, with exception of the smallest size, all could pass an unterminated cat-5 or cat-6 cable. The construction looks decent, although the threaded portion will is somewhat shallow and will have issues mounting to material thicker than 1/8" (3.5mm)

Great for the price, quality is questionable but holding up so far.

i bought these to create water proof gland packing for wires in projects and i thought this was over kill however i have ended up using a lot of these to do other projects that i had not thought of doing before. some of these are underground, going to the well, which makes about 10 gallons a day and they have kept sediment and water out of the casing. others are in thin metal boxes or plastic cases and worked well

I wasn't happy with the fitting provided in an auxiliary lighting package I purchased and I decided to build my own wiring harness from the wire up. I purchased this assortment because I was new to these kinds of waterproof grommets and I wanted to try them and maybe learn something. And, I did. First, the PG7 was perfect for replacing a soft rubber press fit wire grommet in the light housing and when tightened they were light and watertight with two 16-AWG wires and lots of room to spare. Second, my relay box needed a similar fitting and I wanted to maximize the wire capacity of the box, and the PG9 tested with 8 16-AWG wires, as shown. I am very pleased with the quality of these Cable Gland Joints and I just ordered an additional batch of PG7 size because I have a lot of other interesting users for them now that I know about them and have tried them out.

I used a couple of these to add a thermometer attached to a Sonoff TH16 to a PVC Tee on my pool I did have to countersink the insert that I put the thermometer in to accommodate the threads on the eBoot, but it was not a big deal. I used three for this project. The eBoots tightened snugly and were water proof.

I had no clue what size I needed so I just ordered this multi pack to cover all bases! Glad I did, I'm sure I would have messed up knowing. Its nice to have different sizes to physically test run cables through to get just the right fit for a better seal. The ones I didn't use will become just another part of my junk drawer. These work well, good weather sealing!
