Great toy!
My cats love it. They watched me open the box and harassed me while inserting the batteries and feather. They immediately began playing with it and they continue to do so in the couple of weeks we've had it. The round bottom allows it to move across the wood floor as they play, giving them a bit of good chase time. They usually destroy any toy attached to their things, but the feather is still strong, with no tearing. It comes with 2 replacement attachments, but as the feather is holding out so well, I don't believe I'll be using them any time soon. It shuts off after a bit and comes back on when they decide to play with it again so I believe the batteries will last a decent amount of time. I waste a lot of money buying toys they ignore, but this one is a hit.

Awesome and surprisingly durable cat toy
I have a kitten who I've had since 1 week old, and he LOVES THIS TOY. Best parts: It's a quiet no-annoying toy, it's dog-safe, and it's durable. He attacks and/or chews the butterfly multiple times a day but it still keeps going! The dog has zero interest, which is so rare for cat toys. No worries about him ingesting something he should not. The fact that it turns on anytime you brush against it is perfect and keeps his interest. Thank you for this wonderful toy!

Cats LOVE it. Get rechargeable batteries.
My main dislike - the cats love this SO much that batteries die in a week. I really wish there was a usb rechargeable version. I guess I need to invest in rechargeable batteries. The three dangle items that come with it have gotten destroyed by my cats in less than 24 hours, but they are monsters. The worm does not do well on carpet, it gets caught and does not perform the motion (cats still love it though because it still vibrates up and down). Strings aren't super ideal for cats who are rough like mine and could potentially swallow them, and I always have a hard time finding toys I can leave for these two and feel comfortable they won't accidentally get into a predicament that sends us to the ER for pets. Plastic butterflies aren't strong enough either, and they have torn those to shreds. Might look for a ball attachment or something. It's pretty quiet. I have heard it turn on but it's a small vibration noise, not too bad. The motion activation sometimes takes a couples seconds, but it seems to work. Cats keep turning it on, and I do accidentally when walking by it. Overall The cats love the toy, so I do. But I REALLY wish there was a rechargeable version.

Good but *Caution*
It’s overall a good toy and my cat loves it. But I have to supervise her with it because it got hung up in her fur when she attempted to drag it. I found a work around though where she can’t get to the motor but I still have to supervise. I don’t know why they didn’t put a guard around the open gap between the attachments and the motor.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner - my cats love this!
This toy is great! Just as advertised, if they knock it over, it rights itself. Uses AA batteries that last a very long time. Turns itself off after a certain amount of time, but if they bat at it or touch it, it starts up again. My finicky female who turns her nose up at all things "toy", absolutely loves it and comes running from the other room when she hears it going. The noise it makes is not loud and all and very tolerable. It also comes with an extra butterfly if they destroy the original one.

Fun for hours!
We bought this toy in December of 2023, so I’m late writing this review. But, I had to write a review of this product because it’s that good! Also, this allows me to write a thorough review since our cat(s) have been able to use it for an extended period of time now. We originally bought this toy for our teen daughter’s one-year old cat. He LOVED this toy, at first. However, he only enjoyed it when it had the feather attachment on it. If we had the butterfly or ribbon strands attachment on, he wanted nothing to do with it. He played with this toy multiple times a day (and night) until the wire to the feather broke. After that he eventually forgot about the toy and it ended up in the basket of “forgotten/unused animal toys”. Cut to this year and we started fostering a 9 week old kitten. The kitten LOVES this toy even more than our older cat did. Since we didn’t have the feather anymore, it has the strands of ribbon attachment on it right now. The kitten goes nuts for the toy and will even drag it around with him at times. The battery life is great and we’ve only had to change them one time. When I came to leave this review, I noticed they sell a replacement pack for the attachments, so I bought that to give the kitten more variety. It’s a genius idea to sell those replacement pieces separately! The thin wire that holds the attachment to the base is sturdy but with continual use they do wear down and eventually bend/break. I will continue buying replacements, as long as our base holds up and the cats are using it!

CAT INJURED USING THIS TOY
If your (fur) baby has MEDIUM or LONG HAIR please be aware of what just happened to our beautiful long-hair cat. This toy has a METAL HOOK at the base of the spin arm. The spinning hook not only caused mild lacerations to Gracie’s skin but it also caught her fur, spinning and pulling her fur into the center of the unit; wrapping Gracie’s fur/skin so tightly the unit could no longer move. The toy had literally lashed itself to her underbelly. That’s when panic hit. I hadn’t seen it happen, I was a few feet away (due to toy injuries reported online, I never leave pets unattended with automated toys). Gracie began to yowl. She was terrified, unable to move with the large toy lashed to her underbelly; her big green eyes wide with fear “Mommy help me!” I was scared too — it happened so fast. I spotted her on the floor, attempting to walk. That’s when I realized the entire toy was somehow lashed to her body, severely limiting her movement. I felt around and was grateful to feel only minor cuts from the hook; then I realized a large chunk of fur and skin were trapped inside the center of the unit. Since both skin and fur were trapped, I could not use scissors — my only option was to PULL her fur out as gently as I could. Fortunately, 2-3 pulls cleared enough fur to allowed the remaining skin/fur to slide right out. A few days and she’ll be all healed (physically). I never thought this would happen to us. I don’t leave Gracie unattended with automated toys (thank goodness for that!), I always check new purchases for safety before putting them out, I even comb thru reviews to ensure we don’t buy potentially harmful products … yet this one still slipped through :-( It’s a shame this toy injured and terrified my cat, because for two wonderful hours (the time between opening the box and her being injured) she absolutely LOVED this toy. So I will try a different brand, as there are SIMILAR TOYS on Amazon where the arm attachment is a solid disk that spins at the top; not a spin arm you stick into a hole with an exposed metal hook on the end. Have fun, stay safe 🐾

The best 20$ I've ever spent on my cat
If you read the title you already know I love it. Had it for a few weeks My cat ninja is a spring chicken (4yrs) so he ALWAYS has ton of energy and since I went back to work full time he started a habit of waking us up at 4am then again at 5, etc for play time or being destructive around the house by knocking things over for entertainment cause he gets so bored at night even if I played with him ALL DAMN DAY. I havent slept in weeks. no matter how much we play with him when we get home it was never enough. He is also highly intelligent so he gets bored SUPER EASILY and buying super expensive smart toys with timers just sucked or were too predictable for him and he gets disinterested.... THIS WAS NOT THE CASE FOR US FOR THIS TOY. It switches directions, it spins at a unpredictable bounce almost like it's alive and Ninja can not get enough of it. The worm attachment does not have robotic movements whatsoever. And I'm very grateful he can be left unsupervised with it cause the wire is not long enough to wrap around his neck or choke him when we're not home. He will even drag the toy to the room that were in for us to watch him play with it. THIS HAS BEEN A GAME CHANGER. It's motion sensored so when he's ready to play so is the toy! I don't have to lift a dang finger after a long day at work cause he just wants his wormie ❤️ (His favorite is the worm attachment but it comes with 2 others as well.) It's been so great for him to have entertainment and get mostly a good night's sleep until he wakes us up for breakfast at 8:30. We absolutely would recommend this toy for a energetic young cat OR if you have a cat that likes to bat at things while laying down. Overall best 20$ I ever spent.
