MSI A520M-A PRO Motherboard (AMD Ryzen 3000 3rd Gen AM4, DDR4, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI, Micro ATX)

I purchased this MSI A520M A PRO motherboard in October 2025 and have been using it continuously ever since. During that time, I have used it with both a Ryzen 5 3400G and later upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5600, giving me experience with multiple generations of Ryzen processors on the same board. One of my biggest concerns before purchasing was compatibility with Ryzen 3000G series APUs. I contacted the seller before ordering, and they confirmed that newer shipments included an updated BIOS. In my case, that information proved accurate. My Ryzen 5 3400G worked perfectly out of the box without requiring any BIOS updates or troubleshooting. Since then, I have upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5600, and the motherboard has continued to perform flawlessly. Across more than eight months of use, I have experienced no stability issues, boot problems, compatibility concerns, or unexpected behavior. Of course, this is a budget oriented motherboard, and there are some compromises buyers should understand before purchasing: * PCIe Gen 3 support rather than newer PCIe standards. * Two RAM slots instead of four. * A single M.2 NVMe slot. * Fewer expansion options compared to higher end motherboards. However, these limitations are clearly reflected in the price and specifications. As long as you understand what you're buying, none of them should come as a surprise. The motherboard arrived with all advertised accessories, including SATA cables, which was appreciated. Installation was straightforward, and everything functioned exactly as expected. For budget and mid range AM4 builds, especially for users considering Ryzen APUs or later upgrades to Ryzen 5000 series processors, this motherboard offers excellent value for money. After more than eight months of daily use since October 2025, I can confidently recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars.

MSI boards are good as always. I faced one hiccup - The RAM I purchased didn't work on this motherboard. CAUTION: Some RAMs might not work at all. Rest is best in class.

Bought it at 3.8k INR. The motherboard has 34 PCIE 3.0 LANES from which 4 lanes are for cpu and 4 lanes are for chipset meaning 26 lanes are usable for connectivity from which another 4 are given to ssd/nvme. 22 lanes are usable. from which 6 lanes are for SATA PORTS which leaved 16 lanes and therefore your ethernet takes 4more that leaves 12 pcie lanes for USB connectivity so yeah for the price i can say the connectivity and the speed for transfers of data are great considering the quality and materials of board. the installation is simple for this motherboard as you dont need to have OVERCLOCKING for any ryzen cpu the max you can combine this with ryzen 3 or ryzen 5. dont go for higher processor combinations. so yeah great value for BUDGET BUILD AND WORKSTATION BUILD. REMEMBER PCIE 3.0 MEANS YOU HAVE TO GET A PCIE 3.0 GRAPHIC THAT IS FOR NVIDIA GTX 16 SERIES (1650,1660) NVIDIA RTX 20 SERIES (2060,2070) AND AMD RADEON 500 SERIES.(550,570,580,590) You can add other graphics cards but potential will be wasted for other graphics cards. SO YEAH HOPE THIS HELPS YOU

Product not working.. manufactring defect

This is a very good, stable and apt motherboard for the required AMD Ryzen 5 pairing. Works absolutely fine and with the m.2 SSD port, the start-up and general working is a breeze. Fully recommended. I use the package for Ubuntu but can also work well windows.

motherboard works, the packaging was excellent with alot of bubble wrap, looks decent, paired it with the RYZEN 3200G and with like a charm without needing to update the BIOS, i wouldve like PCIe gen4 but it's like a 4k motherboard i think it's fine, must buy

Possui uma BIOS simples, prática de usar e já vem atualizada para recursos mais recentes como o TPM 2.0 ( foi necessário atualizar para a versão mais recente para logar no CALL OF DUTY WARZONE, mesmo com o secure boot e tpm 2 ativos). Além disso, tudo funcionou muito bem. Uma boa placa-mãe para suportar jogos em resolução de até QuadHD, na minha opinião!

Comme toujours, satisfait par les produits MSI, carte mère acheter afin de réaliser une petite config avec un Ryzen 5 3600X, ça fonctionne parfaitement avec des performances à la hauteur de mes attentes.

Wer sich einen ordentlichen und Büro und Internet PC zusammenbauen möchte, ist mit diesem MB gut bedient. Hat alles was ich für diesen Zweck von einem MB erwarte. Wer in Richtung Gaming oder Video bzw. Foto Bearbeitung gehen möchte, sollte im Regal etwas höher greifen.
