Most cost-effective product for use in lube and cleaning my Fieldpiece VP85 HVAC vacuum during dyi rebuild and repair. I also use the same product to operate the vacuum with. Great clean stuff. Its equal, if not better than the Fieldpiece recommended oil. Save money and buy this oil.

There's not a lot to say about vacuum pump oil, which is probably a good thing. I've been using this oil for several years in my chamber vacuum sealer and have been completely satisfied with the results. The oil is reasonably priced, easy to source, and most importantly my vacuum pump has continued to operate without any issues. My chamber sealer sees regular home use, typically around ten cycles per week depending on how much food I'm processing or preserving at the time. For that level of use, this oil has performed exactly as I would expect. What I like: * reasonably priced * easy to find when it's time for an oil change * has performed reliably for years * no issues with pump operation * suitable for home chamber vacuum sealers One thing worth noting is that my experience comes from residential use rather than a commercial environment. I'm not running the machine all day long or putting industrial-level hours on the pump. If you're operating a chamber sealer in a restaurant, butcher shop, or other high-volume setting, it may be worth researching whether a premium oil offers meaningful benefits for that workload. For a home user, however, I haven't found any reason to spend more. At the end of the day, vacuum pump oil is one of those maintenance items where consistency matters more than excitement. This product has kept my chamber sealer running properly for years, and that's exactly what I want from it. For home users looking to maintain a chamber vacuum sealer, this has been a reliable and cost-effective choice.

Have an old HF 61245 vacuum pump. The oil was looking a little funky so searched HF website but they don't sell vacuum pump replacement oil for some odd reason. The manual said to use HFV-46 oil but couldn't find any with that exact name, but then found this one and figured 46-Viscocity is what it was calling out for. Drained the oil and refilled with this one and pump is working great, and there is still plenty of oil leftover hopefully it lasts. I tightened the cap down and put it in a freezer ziploc bag, maybe that'll help.

I bought this for use in a small vacuum pump used primarily for general purposes like vacuuming down liquid silicone rubber to degas it and for automotive A/C applications as well. Future use will be in a vacuum casting system for jewelry and small metal items. Anyways, this type of pump oil meets the requirements listed in the pump manual and was from a well know brand and economical to use as well. If you have a vacuum pump that takes this type of oil you should always have some on hand and since I have used this particular oil I can recommend it. Just check you pump manual to make sure it meets the needs of the pump you are using it in as there are some different viscosity pump oils that are used for various vacuum pumps.
