I thought Dr Mercola said to avoid carrageenan, yet here it is listed as an ingredient?

If you look on Dr Mercola website he lists all the ingredients in his toothpaste and he does not use carrageenan. May be a typo.

Has anybody else noticed that it a new tube appears to be missing about an ½ - 1 ounce of toothpaste out of the box?

Yes. Same thing here. I use it as my travel toothpaste. When I opened it for the first time I had to check my toiletry bag because I thought the airplane pressure may have caused some to leak out.

is the baking soda free of aluminum?

Considering it is a Dr. Mercola product, it should be aluminum free. Baking powder can contain aluminum but i have not heard of Baking soda containing aluminum. you should ask the question on Dr. Mercola's web site or call his customer service phone number.

Great toothpaste

I was suffering from sensitivity until I tried this toothpaste. It contains calcium which makes your enamel stronger. And the ingredients are much better than in a regular toothpaste. No fluoride. Taste is fresh. I recommend it.
