Is the bird removable or is it permanently attached to the bowl?

It is removable. In fact, I never even put the bird on. Bought it to use as a bird bath, but it is small and shallow, so I put it on a stand and use it as a dish for birdseed, sunflower seeds and peanuts for my birds and squirrels.

The ad title says usa? beware country of origin is china!

This is made in China however, a tremendous amount of goods sold in the USA are made in China. This is a beautiful little bird bath. I have found that birds are more likely to use the baths with naturally colored bottoms. That being said,I bought these for their decorative appeal I have purchased 2 of these.

What is difference between “Tall” measurement and “Height” measurement?

Sorry I am not close by to measure the bird bath. I like it; I would call the bird bath the size of a large round platter in size and the bird sits on a little post on its side. Bird is about the size of a large lemon/small orange. Hope this makes sense.
