Starfrit The Rock Classic 11" (28cm) Fry Pan, Non-Stick, Black

One day I'm singing along to New Kids On The Block, their newest single Hanging Tough playing on my favorite pop radio station. Me and my friends call in every hour to request it, taping it off the radio until we can save up enough babysitting money to buy the CD. And suddenly I'm thinking to myself, 'Wow, Consumer Reports was right. This ROCK pan IS dope!' When did I first realize I have a favorite burner on the stove? Why is cookware organization so exciting? When did I get so old? I don't know. Here's what I do know. Consumer Reports gave this pan a great review and I totally see why. It's like if a non-stick pan and a cast iron pan had a love child. It heats evenly and won't warp just like you'd expect from a cast iron, and heats quickly while absolutely nothing sticks to it like a non-stick. Not only is cooking a little faster and easier, but the clean up is seconds-long. It's my favorite pan. And I bought another and gave it as a gift. Then bought a third because it was bigger and has a lid. Life comes at you fast.

I initially bought this frying pan at BJs, with little to no expectations of it lasting longer than 4-6 months, just like every pan out there now. But this pan shockingly held up for a couple years, using it about once a day. Cleans really well, only use a little bit of oil and cheese doesn't stick to it. I bought a second/ replacement one here, again, zero expectations that they didn't change the pan and now they're terrible and don't last. Still works! Never thought I'd be excited about a frying pan, but hey, here I am.

I love the quality of the pan. You do not need high temperatures to cook. Maintains even heat.

I love this skillet. Favorite one I've ever owned. Fries up kind of like an iron skillet but way lighter. Easy to clean. Will absolutely take scrubbing, and using metal on it wont instantly destroy it. Not saying you can use a metal spatula all the time, but my husband has used a fork in it a few times and no problems. Even heating. Solid construction. If anything happens to the one I have now, I am definitely getting another.

I totally love this pan. I have changed over all my fry pans to "The Rock" fry pans BUT i have ordered this size pan twice. The first time it came, the box was damaged and the pan was damaged under the Cardboard label that is attached so i returned it for another one. That one came and it is misshapened and my other lid will not fit because the top of the pan is not round. It looks like it had a bad form and should have been caught by their quality control before it even got out of the plant. I have reordered a third time now and will wait to see if it is right this time. I am dissapointed that this has happened. Like i said before i love cooking with these pans and several family members have gotten them also. I am hoping the third time is a charm and it comes in good shape.

I bought this pan as replacement for my old tefal of the same size. Its the best pan I ever had. I have already stopped using all my other pans. I bought also a big sauce pan from The Rock. Cannot fail that one too.

Amazing, lasts for years. Just keep heat medium or lower to avoid damaging the coating, and wash by hand.

As a kitchen 'tool' I use almost daily, it's fabulous. This the 4th piece of 'The Rock" ware I've bought. Highly recommend their products. Handle doesn't get hot. Cleans easily. I use very little oil, if any, to cook most foods.
