Would y’all recommend this for neck pain?

YES - I have chronic migraines with neck pain and had one for 4 days straight and my pillow made it much worse. Bought this pillow out of desperation and it was the best decision ever! One sleep and all neck pain and migraine was gone!

Is this a good flat pillow?

What’s awesome about this pillow is that it can be any type of pillow you need: flat, fluffy, firm, soft—seriously! You just need to know how to use it. This pillow is a pillow within a pillow and can conform (and stay) to any shape you need. You can also unzip the outer pillow and separate the two if you need an even flatter pillow. The best thing I love about it is that it’s always cool. If it gets warm, just give it a squeeze (or flip) and it’s refreshed. I can’t sleep well with any other pillow since I discovered this one.

Is this the same pillow aas the “pancake pillows”.

Kinda, with just one foamy thing inside and wrapped up in the two pilowy things, one on each side, is really good for me witch I'm a side sleeper...

I’m finding this pillow to be too thick For stomach sleeping. Can I just sleep on the inner or outer layers alone?

Try a Coop Eden, it's really for a stomach sleeper pillow. When you read Down like, for the Eden in the description note feather like is missing, as in feather and down, so bad for side sleeping in my opinion. The Coopregular pillow is better for side, back sleeping.
