Is this okay for a 4 month old?

It's probably a little big in size but it's really well stitched. I bought it for my 6 month old and have had no issues with loose seams or anything coming apart for her to choke on. It's also machine washable so once it's been loved on it can easily get cleaned up!

If you have machine washed and dried this...how did it hold up? How many times have you laundered it? Looking for something I can wash...THANKS!

I have not machine washed it yet. I wipe it off with a cloth. My son loves monkeys so much that I would repurchase, if damaged by machine. I will try placing it in a pillow case when I do put it a machine. I heard that works.

Can Ollie be laid flat as well as in sitting position?

Not really. You can lay him on his back but his legs will be up in the air. Its super soft though so it doesn't matter.

Does Monkey Ollie have a tail? Is it straight or does it curl?

Yes the monkey has a tail and it curls a little at the end.

Daughter's favourite toy!

This monkey has been in my daughter's crib since 5mo. old and she's almost 2.5yrs now. She's obsessed with this monkey and loves hugging him and playing with the end of his tail. He's been through many washes and never had to be re-sewn yet, which I can't say about a couple other of her toys that she barely touches in comparison. Glad we got him and bought a couple more for backups:)
