Skinny Quilts and Table Runners

Should have read better. Thought they would be smaller. But large. But they are nice and will probably make one. Some would look nice at the end of a bed.

Flip through this book and you will know this is definitely not your typical runner book. The skinny quilts are designed by a number of well-known quilt designers, and as a result, there is a wonderful variety of styles and techniques taught in this book. I've already made "By the Sea" by Karen Eckmeier. The instructions are clear, the photos are wonderful, and I LOVE my finished product. I have already purchased Skinny Quilts & table runners II, and I will definately be making more projects from these two books.

The cover design is the one that attracted me. There aren't really enough other patterns that I like to have justified the purchase. Most crafters want to see all of the designs in a book before purchasing it; we don't really care about the index and intro that are normally included in the available "Look Inside" pages. Amazon might want to rethink which pages they allow potential buyer to review.

I really enjoy a book that offers many options and this one delivers ! I love working with wool and there is a lovely tablerunner that uses gorgeous felted wool. Another very modern design that looks wonderful on the wall. The techniques are varied and can be used interchangably. You won't be disappointed in the photography either. A lovely book with projects that can be completed quickly...my kind of book !

I bought this book because of one particular picture that was featured on another website, and discovered an entire book full of contemporary quilting projects. If you like quilting or fabric decor, this book is for you. The directions are written clearly, and the materials are clearly spelled out. There are both tabletop projects and wall decor projects in the book; mostly contemporary styles. I know I will use it for years to come.

The beautful designs and challenges in this book are worth the try.I am what I consider still a beginner (only 2 years at quilting).The one I choose to make is "By the Sea".I feel I learn more if I step out from the easy stuff and take a challenge.Lots of beautiful things in this book to make so, take the Challenge.....

This book is full of wonderful ideas! Each design has something I can use and several designs are ones I will make. I will be making By the Sea in a wider version as a banner for church. It is stunning! The methods are well explained and the pictures are a bonus. This book is well worht the money.

Really find this an inspiration to quilt! Not the easiest of quilts but lots of lovely skinny quilts (so you're not overwhelmed by size)and methods of making them that give you a nudge to have a go at something that (maybe) a little more difficult than you've done before.
