Analogue x2 HDMI Adapter for N64, SNES, Super Famicom & GameCube

Used this to connect GameCube to modern tv. Picture was quite dark so had to connect it to pc which was really easy to do & adjust the brightness & contrast in its settings. Once done that it works great & picture quality is great. Can now play all my old GameCube games again.

On receiving the item in question and plugging it into my Super Nintendo, nothing. I had a rainbow of bars just like the tv old test cards from 20 plus years ago. After fiddling with it for 20 minutes or so and still nothing I decided to go online to see if there was an update for it, there was and after updating the software SUCCESS lol. Now I get to enjoy all my old retro consoles using modern connections. The lesson here is for the money you’re paying it should be plug n play, without fiddling with updates n such.. however it works now and it work’s perfect on modern 55” OLED TVs

This HDMI adapter is exactly what I needed to bring my retro gaming setup into the modern age. I used it with both my SNES and N64, and it connected without any issues. I struggled to see the difference between using this and the bog standard RF cable. Very minimal jump in quality. Smoothing didnt help either. I fully updated it but it looked terrible. Plus every couple of minutes the picture would 'scramble' like a lost aerial connection or damaged vhs. I returned it and tried again. Second one i couldnt even connect it to my computer and picture still scrambling so returned again. Third one still slightly scrambling / distorting periodically, updated it fine but would not let me access the settings. Returned and tried the standard £20 one. This time, zero scrambling or anything but the image quality was literally the same as RF. What a pointless device. After returning the 4th kaico product i bought a retroscaler 2x for £30 alongside a pal s-video cable for £8 and it works flawlessly, superb sound and the picture quality is clearly sharper and more colourful than any of the kaicos at £18 less than this line doubler. Save your money and buy one of these instead.

The item doesn’t work on my US NTSC Super Nintendo at all, works on my US N64 but turns off randomly and gives a striped coloured screen, resetting the console fixes it, but as it does this at the inevitable wrong moment, it is a bit annoying, can go a few hours and be fine, or do it repeatedly over a short space of time. Update: Updating to the latest firmware seems, at least in the short term, to have fixed the N64 issue, still doesn't work on the US SNES.

The N64 is renowned for being a tad tricky to get a decent output on, especially on a modern HD/4K TV set. After digging my old console out I really wanted to get all my games running again. For those who are NOT retro gaming nuts and are not bothered with getting the best results on video output and quality, you can't go wrong with this adapter. It's has several different output modes, I have left mine running on S-Video out with Smoothing on. I can actually now see and play these games properly again. Don't expect anything crystal clear. I like it's not perfect as it still gives you that retro feel playing on a retro console. Few things to mention... - Update the Firmware for the adapter before using. The control tool is available on Kaico's website and in the download file is the latest FW version. Super simple instructions to follow to complete this. (Also included in the downloaded file). The control app also allows you to adjust screen positioning, brightness, contrast, hue, chroma etc etc to suit your preferences. - Sometimes there is a small delay with the signal output from console to TV. Not a big issue so far but I'm unsure on occasions if this has stopped output all together. Hard to tell when you are dealing with 25+ year console and carts. A few restarts and removal of the cart and it kicks back in, so saying it's more console at the moment. The adapter is currently a lot cheaper from Kaico directly. I ordered from Amazon as I had other items to purchase but was £15 more expensive. If your are after it and not in a hurry, go direct to Kaico for now. Lastly, there is a much cheaper adapter from Kaico, looks exactly the same but in a blue box around the £20 mark. I tried this and it is purely a pass through. No image processing is done to help improve the image. It is awful for the N64, games are unplayable in my opinion, so recommend staying away from that if using on N64. Overall really pleased I can play some classics again. Real nostalgia feeling and I've been able to introduce something that was a big part of my life growing up to my two young children. (Using PAL console on Samsung 6 Series 4K TV).

Great hdmi device to get your Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Super Nintendo back to relive those memories. I'm focusing on the Nintendo 64 because that's the reason I bought this product. This hdmi device makes you nintendo 64 look clean and vibrant with the the help of different modes that output from it. There's a little button that you can press to give you four option settings all represented by a coloured led light on the device. Green= NTSC S-video smoothing on, Red= NTSC S-video smoothing off, Blue= Composite Pal smoothing on, Yellow= Composite Pal smoothing off. Its your preference what's good for you, I prefer the Red option because I like the pixel look. All in all this device does a great job to play your Nintendo 64 on a modern TV and simple to connect and set up. Also on the device there's a micro port for future updates, ITS NOT A POWER INPUT so don't connect a USB to it its not needed to run this device. Updates will almost probably come from their official Web site so check regularly. Keep retro alive and enjoy the memories, happy gaming.

Najlepszy adapter hdmi na n64, snes. Obraz ladny ,wyrazny. Duzo opcji ustawien oraz możliwość regulacji w komputerze programem. Do gamecube polecam inny do wejscia cyfrowego 480p.

Super article , il fonctionne très bien avec la super Nintendo sur télé hdmi.

Prodotto che permette di collegare una vecchia console della Nintendo ad uno dei tv dei giorni nostri con ingresso HDMI. Certo il risultato non è perfetto per chi magari guarda il pelo nell'uovo....ma è altamente accettabile. Lo consiglio vivamente. L'adattatore non abbisogna di alcuna alimentazione.

un cable muy bueno que hace lo que dice dobla las lineas que quiere decir que a tu juego no se le van a ver ewsas molestas lineas que slaen medio aveces y de ahi para HDMI donde le pudes poner un mClassic y mejorar la imagen aun mas, 100% recomendado en especial para juegos de 64 que es donde se nota mas las diferencia de imagen

Tengo varias Consolas dejo mi resultados: - Snes Americana NTSC funciona genial, sin problemas. - Snes Europea PAL con mod a NTSC, funciona genial sin problemas - Snes Europea PAL virgen, sin mod funciona mal, con parpadeos de pantalla y reseteos del aparatito, parece que el quiere forzar el juego que va a 50Mhz a mostrar en 60Mhz y pasa todo lo que pasa, por lo que sé, con una actualización de firmware bastaría, pero los europeos por ahora no podemos disfrutar de esto sin que la consolas tenga mod a NTSC. - N64 virgen, funciona genial. - N64 con MOD de RGB, funciona genial. - Gamecube, no lo he probado, por que tengo el conector de Digital a HDMI que nuestra la mejor señal posible de consola y en este caso no me lo he probado, considero que si funciona por los otros comentarios. La facilidad que te da el conectar la consola a una tele actual es buena, pero recuerda, que la mejor que te da este aparatito es S-VIDEO, que es buena, pero no supera al HDMI.
