Deodorant Refills Refill Kit 0% Aluminum Cucumber & Green Tea Aluminum Free Deodorant 1.13 oz

I have used this deodorant for years, the last three of these refill packs I've ordered have been a completely different formula. The green (original) cartridges work great and last forever, never break or fall apart. These new white ones though crumble at even the slightest touch. As a longtime user this is extremely frustrating. These refills are not cheap and for it to snap off or break apart after one gentle swipe is infuriating. As someone with allergies I'm having a hard time finding a different deodorant especially one that is refillable and aluminum free. I used to recommend this to everyone, especially if they travel. Now, if you have the option to use a different refillable deodorant or just deodorant in general I suggest you do that. These are a waste of money unless you're okay putting the broken mush on with your hands every morning. Extremely frustrating. Do not recommend.

I finally got a new refill part after the first one I bought was destroyed (broke into pieces.) So I carefully opened the plastic storage for the refill. I left the refill in the top portion in there and carefully attached the refill to the steel base and gently moved it to click in place and it worked without destroying the refill. I don't know if I just got a bad batch on the first one but this one worked much better which also has a wonderful, light scent which I don't mind and it's easy to use. Now the true test will be how long it will stay in place without falling off the base as I have seen some videos here.

I ordered this months ago and thought it was a great way to keep plastic waste down and also use for traveling because of its small size. The first one I used probably halfway down until it broke. The refills I bought broke off after 1-3 uses. It's a terrible design and also difficult to hold on to without dropping it on the floor. I have never done an Amazon review but this item was so disappointing that I had to warn others not to buy.

Dove is usually a go-to product line for me, but I’m not feeling it lately. I should’ve read the reviews, but I was so excited to find a refillable non-aluminum alternative that was environmentally friendly, I bought it. And when it broke almost immediately, thinking I had just one defective container, I bought another one. Now the product has broken off halfway through normal use, NOT rough handling, and it shouldn’t be returned at this point. But I’m very disappointed in the design and practical use of the applicator, and the actual product, while pleasant pleasant smelling, doesn’t seem very effective over a full day, disappointing. (also disappointed Dove no longer makes my favorite mousse and charges three times more for the replacement, which doesn’t work nearly as well for me, but that’s a different review). Not super encouraged by the way this company seems to be headed.

This is a fantastic way to use less plastic for a good price. I previously used the regular version of this whose only real benefit over this was it was bigger, I realized that at the same time that was also one of its biggest downsides with how easy it is to carry this one around with me in my backpack on those long days (which often are multiple days long) I’ve been using these for some time now, gone through seven sticks (the original that came with it and three dual packs) I’ve yet to have an issue where the stick detached from the base or breaks while applying (or breaks at all for that matter) I don’t know if Dove made any changes after people had complained of this happening or if some people are just really aggressive while applying their deodorant, either way, I love this stuff and hope for more scents and larger packs to come

This is my go to deodorant. I love the smell and the ability to travel with it in my purse. I went to a wedding and it was great because it was small enough for my clutch and it was very discreet. No one knew what it was when I pulled it out my bag looking for a mint, lol. The case is very durable. I've dropped it with no damage to the deodorant while changing the deodorant refill and super easy to wipe clean. On the OTHER side, I have broken two. The design of the deodorant in the plastic piece is awful, poor design, and very unstable. Once it breaks, the deodorant not the case, you can't really use it unless you want to use your hand as applicator. I've tried, it has a greasy feeling on your hands. It has the same feeling to your hands if you put too much chapstick or lipgloss on your fingers. NO WEIRD feel on your arm pits unless you apply to much. Very light deodorant for your arm pits. I want to try to mens to see if it was the same. NOT FOR ACTIVE/SPORT NEEDS. If you get warm easily or doing any activity besides standing still or sitting, it needs to be reapplied several times with activity. Overall, nice if you don't do much activity, very lightheaded with putting on deodorant, or just need something to travel with.

Note: This is a lengthy review, and I provide recommendations/alternatives near the end! So I bought two versions of this deodorant because I can be very forgetful about putting it on. One for purse and one for home, perfect for a purse and an opportunity to try two scents (original + cucumber). The cap of the original comes off very easily, but the cucumber stays on tight (see video). It may be an error in how the deodorant piece is put on? Idk. The cucumber is a very strong scent compared to the original, which is much more tame. Cucumber is much better for re-application when you’re really getting a sweat in, and the scent develops very nicely on the skin, so it effectively is my purse-deodorant. I however am chronically nauseous, and the scent can sometimes be very overwhelming make it worse. It is also a GEL, so it feels kind of wet when first applied. I got used to it, but it may be uncomfortable for some. I personally think it’s better than a hard natural deodorant that has to heat up to your skin to be applied. This also makes it prone to breakage, but I really think that’s if you apply too much pressure. I apply the stick vertically | with little pressure and not — horizontally if that makes sense. Overall, I DO recommend this deodorant for it’s beautiful case, nice scent, and environmental concern. However, I am not a heavy worker, outside person, or anything like that, so I cannot attest for that kind of use. I can see how many would not like it. If you would like a natural deodorant, but want to avoid these flaws, here are my recommendations: Better case: cardboard/compostable tube. Originally popularized by MeowMeowTweet Pros: push tube, easier to protect deo. Cons: harder and must warm up to your skin. Softer scent: jasmine or regular from the same refillable Dove line. Gel deo: suave has cheaper gels, but it plastic packaging. Better for those getting used to gels, and nice scents too! Thanks for reading. Hope this helps!! The stick broke off on the actual 1st use. Because it broke off the base I can no longer attach it to the case. Please do not buy this product.

It's not a product one expects from Dove. The deodorant stick came out of the base on the 1st use itself. Not sure if this could be returned now.
