can the pebeo gutta be used on cotton material?

no, this kind of gutta is just for silk.

How big is the aperature of the applicator tip?

it says 012 on the tube. it's a pretty large opening. But you can put one of those metal tips on the end to make it a fine line. Dharma Trading company sells them in 09 and 05

Does it wash out, but leave the black color? I don't want to feel the gutta after setting and washing...I used one that remained shiny and hard. Yuck!

I didn't wash out It remains firm but non sticky. What I didn't like is that the point of the tube is too thin and the gutta fails while you're using it. Besides the quantity is very small.
