The Black Nightgown: The Fusional Complex and the Unlived Life Review: Five Stars - Very happy, thank you. Review: THE BLACK NIGHTGOWN - In the Jungian world of second and third generation Jungian writers Schwartz-Salant stands out. Most Jungian writing today has lost Hillman's edge, and reads like tired book reports quoting Jung endlessly. The closed ivory tower of Jungian thought has lost much of its dynamism, and creativity, and is often mediocre. Schwartz-Salant and Ginette Paris stand out as original thinkers of high intelligence. Schwartz-Salant has a superior knowledge of alchemy, field states, and the unconscious dyad. His work on alchemy is the best the Jungian world has to offer at present. His newest book on fusion states combines much of the alchemical model with field dynamics. The book also contains models from a wide variety of other psychological sources and is well researched and written. I would recommend it highly as one of the newer Jungian books that does not have a soporific effect. Ann McCoy, NYC
