Can this be placed in boiling water instead of microwave?

No it cannot be heated that way. This heat wrap will soak up water and cannot be used. It is filled with seeds and lavender buds. Thanks, Sharon

if you use it for cold wrap and freeze it, is it still pliable or will it come out of the freezer in weird shapes?
