No good in canada
I bought one to stop my iphone from freezing up while snowboarding. The day i used it it was -5°C and the phone still froze up. Brutal, i returned it.

Phone is safe and secure
I use this when I leave my phone unattended while driving or at work. It's like insulation and water repelling fabric. NASA uses similar protection on space vehicles. There is a chromium layer that prevents solar radiation from unintented thermal exposure. I can't say that I've noticed the battery life having better duration. The thick foam around my phone gives my a sense of security.
