I was diagnosed with Asthma a year ago, and got this to wear in the winter when I'm out to warm the air and make it easier for me to breathe. I also wear glasses, so initially was worried my glasses would fog then frost over (not fun to have happen) I discovered that if I put the bottom edge of the face hole just below my nose, but above my mouth, it works great to warm the air while not causing me to need to defrost my glasses. I wore it by itself or under a hooded coat or sweatshirt and didn't feel like it was too bulky either. very comfy and I was able to breathe a LOT easier after I got it than I was before I got it, so if you have respritory issues and deal with cold winters, this might be something to consider trying if warm air is easier for you to breathe.

I gave it four stars because it is warm and it covers the nose without me having to worry about it. However, I'm not a fan of the neck length. Regardless, for the price, I don't think you get to ask for perfect.

Very good mask. It's very warm and protects you well from the wind. You can use it as a neck warmer or a full face mask. Very recommended for the cold cold winter days with wind!

It works and is worth the money I paid for it. HOWEVER, it did smell as other have said of oil, one wash cured that and it was like new. The only other issue is that it took so long to ship that when it showed up I had forgotten that I ordered it.

Ok so here is the skinny... this thing is warm. Almost to warm. I bought two of them. One was for my son so he could run in JROTC at 30 degrees the other was for me. It tucks into a jacket really well and it works great. The only down side is that if it's not cold or this thing is too warm.

I will recommend to anybody looking for a winter mask from now on. Hear me out. I'm a large male, I have long dreads, not the smallest head, I work outdoors during winter, and also walk/jog everywhere. Through the years I have tested & tried virtually every material that these masks are sold as. This is by far the best one I've come across. And again, I have long thick hair and a big head... So the fact that it fits, totally blows my mind

I'm not sure why they chose the tactical description, but this is defiantly very warm. I live in the Chicago area which gets SUPER COLD in the winter. I intend on wearing this beneath another hood. It covers the face nicely when the draw strings are adjusted. My only complaints would be that there is no way of securing the draw strings back. What I mean is they will always be dangling and flopping around on the sides. This is more of an esthetic thing than anything of function though. My other complaint would be that the draw string runs over the top of wear the nose is and on me to adjust the mask portion for maximum face protection I have to pull a good bit on the draw strings. This creates a tension over the bridge of my nose that can be uncomfortable at times.

What a waste of money and time. Let's forget for a moment that it took 3 weeks to be delivered. The item I received and thought I paid for was not what I received in the mail. The item I received was an old style three hole "bank robber" style mask. The mask looked like it was made from an old black sock. The material was so old and thin that it would not keep your head and face warm in the summer time. DO NOT BUY, Amazon really needs to vet their partners better, so disappointed.
