Hasn't not been the product I expected. It hasn't cleaned the stains from Oven hob, or what it advertises on the label stoves. Disappointed with purchase

How some of the people on here have managed to rate this as one or two star is beyond me. The instructions are simple and apparently fool proof. It does state the glass needs to be cool, perhaps that's the problem. Perhaps it's to do with impatience and not waiting the specified time for the reaction to occur. Maybe it's to do with not using enough of the product or maybe their soot is different to everyone else's. Who knows why these people can't manage to use, the simplest product out there to get their glass doors sparkling? My woodburner had a thick layer of soot on the left door which virtually covered the whole glass panel. The right door was about 40% covered, with a finer film. I sprayed the foam on, and as I saw it sliding down the glass I sprayed more foam where the previous had been. I did this two or three times. I waited 5 minutes from the last application and using a microfibre cloth (because I couldn't be bothered getting a sponge from the garage) I soaked it in hot water and wiped the glass. I started with the door with the least coverage. I was shocked!! One wipe top to bottom removed everything. I finished off with some kitchen towel and it was sparkling. Encouraged by this, after rinsing and resoaking the microfibre cloth, I was even more shocked when the filthy left door was spotless after two wipes! Again I finished off with paper towels and I called my wife who couldn't believe it. For £7, I don't think you can beat it. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's the best cleaning product which I have ever used. All the other cleaning products I have used for various jobs, have been in my opinion, a disappointment. However, this one is superb and I cannot recommend it more highly. A word of warning.....This contains chemicals which you should not breath, nor allow on your skin. Make sure you wear heavy duty gloves, eye protection and open your windows. Put newspaper or an old towel down under the doors because the foam drops off and can damage the surface below. If you choose to buy something else, that's fine. However, I only praise things (or people) worth praising and I will go beyond praise for this product and be an evangelist. Everyone in our village I know will be buying it soon!

This stuff is brilliant, thick foam that just eats into tar and soot. No more scrubbing, no more risking scratched glass, no time wasted. Yes, it is a nasty chemical. yes wear gloves. yes do not spray too close to the glass or it will run off, and risk splashing back in your eyes. Simply spray on top to bottom, in horizontal motion, slowly and carefully from about 18 inches (45cm). I used masking tape on the bottom rope seal so the run off didn't soak into it. My glass was filthy and burnt on because I used some pine that wasn't totally seasoned, and nothing would shift it. I did a quick five minute spray on both sides of my double door stove, and I would say 98% was shifted no problem. Photos show before and after, I will revisit it next time to shift the final stubborn caked on tar.

This foaming spray is VERY effective at removing soot and tar from our wood-burner glass. Spray it on, leave it for 2 minutes, then wipe it off with a wet sponge. The glass is spotless and there’s no physical effort required. HOWEVER, it is messy. The foam quickly (within 30 seconds of spraying) runs down the glass and drips onto the floor. I put some old newspaper underneath in anticipation. If you’re prepared, it’s very good, but it’s still a bit of a faff.
