Streetwise Rome Map - Laminated City Center Street Map of Rome, Italy: City Plans

Thanks to Amazons return policy, I bought 3 pocket size maps of Rome to compare which would work best for our trip. This one was best. To compare, I checked each map based on one of the self-guide tours we will walk, and this map was the most user friendly, had the most identifiable street names, with print LARGE enough for my 50+ years to read. The Map Key clearly labels everything of interest: churches, ancient monuments, museums, piazzas, fountains, hospitals, and train and tram lines in colour. In addition, it has aROME METRO transport map, with the various Rome metro and railway lines and where the links between the two are - including OUT to the airport and beyond. Plus, it has managed to pack in an INDEX. All this is wrapped into a laminated, lightweight and compact map. It's a keeper! I'll try and update this after we 'do' Rome, but have no doubt it will work well.

It's laminated. That's it for the positives.The detail/font is so tiny that I recommend using a magnifying glass. I purchased it thinking it would open out a la typical larger map - wrong. At its deepest it is 22cm.Don't buy.

This covers a very narrow area in central Rome and my address, which is very close to the central railway station, is not on the map. Otherwise it appears to be of good quality, laminated and easy to fold.

Although a trifle large for my pocket, this handy street map of Rome' centre streets is accurate and useful. I like the easy fold style and the clear printed names. The Index is clear and helpful and the glossy card material is fairly proof against damage.

Perfect map. Although small enough to fold away in a pocket or handbag, this map is very robust, being laminated, and surprisingly detailed. I was able to negotiate my way around Rome on my first visit, without any trouble at all.
