I grow tomatoes and peppers every year in my backyard garden, and this year I finally got smart and bought these Bamboo Stakes instead of fighting the flimsy cages I have used in the past. These stakes are nice and sturdy — thick enough to support my heavy tomato plants, but not so thick that they look ugly in the garden. The natural bamboo look blends in well with the plants. At 4 feet tall, they give my indeterminate tomatoes plenty of room to grow upward, and they work great for my pepper plants too (especially the taller varieties). They were easy to push into the soil and stayed straight even after a few strong rainstorms and windy days. I used soft garden ties to attach the stems and they hold everything securely without damaging the plants. No splitting or breaking so far, and they feel like they’ll last through the whole season easily. These stakes made a noticeable difference in keeping everything organized and supported. If you grow tomatoes, peppers, beans, or any climbing plants, these bamboo stakes are a great buy. Strong, natural, and affordable. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried just about every tomato support system out there — cages, string trellises, DIY setups — but these 8-foot bamboo poles are hands-down my favorite, especially for Juliet, Sun Gold, and my other vigorous, climbing tomato varieties. They’re sturdy, lightweight, and easy to work with. I set them up as bamboo teepees, and use tomato hooks. No wobble, no bending, no sad collapsing mid-season. They hold up beautifully through Oklahoma wind, storms, and heavy fruit clusters. Plus, they look clean and natural in the garden. These are excellent bamboo poles and a staple in my tomato setup.

I made some quick netting for my raised bed with these poles and twine and we recently had a massive storm that really did a number on a lot of my plants, but all of the plants that were in my netting set up faired quite well, as did the set up. The stakes themselves are nice and sturdy and we're easy to get into the soil and a great size. There is more than ample twine for what I needed and then some.

These stakes vary a little in thickness and strength, but in a way that's positive. Second season using them. Light and strong. Easy to break in two for shorter stakes - use hand pruners to cut through, or weaken the breaking point, then snap. Can use thicker ones for staking tomatoes (I surround tomatoes with cylinders of chicken wire to keep out squirrels and support with bamboo stakes), thinner ones (easier to break without rough ends) for ends of planting rows, protecting young plants, marking dog poop and places where you've been killing off weeds, etc. Could be cheaper but why take a chance?

These are great. I have a bean plant that was supposed to be a green bean bush plant but it turned out to be a green been vine plant. So I bought these and holy cow did he grow. I didn't realize that they got so big and tend to extend out and are a bit sticky. I think he liked me because I would get caught in his vines which are sticky. Then the aphids came and took out most of my plants. He still stands though. I love him.

I’m ready to buy another box of these wonderful bamboo stakes. I staked my tomatoes and vining spinach and morning glory. I repaired my umbrella with one and staked some tall flowers. Very useful. I’m sure I will be able to use them again next year.

I shopped around and these bamboo stakes were the best price on Amazon. They are of great quality and the thickness is just right. Appearance is good. I can easily cut them down to whatever size I so desire. Great item. Recommend purchase.
