Brooks Women's Addiction Walker V Strap 2 Walking Shoe

OMG! At first, when I saw these shoes, I said to myself "Those are old lady shoes. Ugh" and swore I'd never wear them. Then I realized that I am an old lady - 73 years old. Tying my shoelaces is becoming more difficult for my arthritic hands - especially when I can't remember if it's over or under when tying the laces. Since my two pair of brand new Skechers Step In shoes didn't fit right, the heels slipped, even though they were comfortable, I decided to give these "old lady shoes" a try and I am completely blown away with these new Brooks shoes! They are so very comfortable. They slip on easily. The two velcro straps are easy to adjust, and they hold the shoes in place perfectly - no slipping of my heels. I sized up a half size because I use an orthotic in my shoes. They have ample room in the toe box so that my toes are not squished up. They are sturdy with a wide base and provide ample stability when walking - especially when it is becoming easier to stumble or falter. I love these shoes! They are perfect for me. I just wish Brooks made them in different colors. White isn't my favorite color, nor is black. And I'd also like to note: I am NOT a runner! I walk my two German Shepherd Dogs daily and these shoes are perfect for that job.

Great for my knees and balance. Perfect fit. I have a black pair of the same shoe that I bought for work 8 years ago and they are till wearable. I stood on cement flooring for 8 hours each day. No knee pain or foot pain at end of shift. Most comfortable, durable shoe I've ever had. Cannot say enough about the quality of Brooks shoes.

Great, sturdy orthopedic shoe...very solid. The lip above the velcros was too high for me, but would probably be fine for other people. I like that it is a solid black shoe. The cushioning is excellent and the arch support is definitely adequate.

Great support. I have issues with plantar fasciitis and my right heal hurts really bad when walking on hard surfaces. I need a lot cushion as well as support. It took me three times (2returns) before getting the right fit, but it was worth it. The Velcro closures are great. I love these shoes and I wish they came in more colors!

I have a pair of Brooks Women's Glycerin 20 running shoes that fit me great. I wear them constantly and my feet never hurt. There is plenty of room in the toes. I recently purchased a different style of Brooks: Addiction Walkers. When I tried them on, my toes were uncomfortably jammed against the front. I immediately took them off because I know that I can't wear shoes if my toes are bent from lack of room. As you can see from the pictures, I got the exact same size in both shoe styles. I will be sending the Addiction Walkers back. If you're going to order these, order at least a half size up.

Rub a sore on the back of my ankle I purchased this shoe with the strings and they were absolutely perfect these definitely have to go back can’t spend this kind of money on something that hurts

You can't go wrong with these!!! I love these shoes. I did have an issue with them squeaking when walking. I contacted Brooks customer service and they replaced them!!! I should get the new ones in a week or so.

I expected to be disappointed ordering shoes online. But these are the best, most comfortable shoes ever. Great support. I love the velcro closures. Now, I think I'm going to order them in white.

I suffer from hip issues and wear these shoes every workday and they are so supportive. Love them! Would buy again!
