My daughters and I like to carry our own reusable straws, this is perfect for us. This bag feels like the pouch my sunglasses came with, it's that sort of silky feeling. I hand washed it so I could start to use it as soon as I could. It is a great size for our straws, and if I want to bring my reusable utensils also. Before this I used a quart sized plastic bag, which wasn't that great, and over time, I had to replace it. This pouch should last a very long time.
