I was a self-taught player in my teens, but when I reached adulthood I didn’t have time. I’m in my sixties now and am learning the correct way to play. This book makes me feel like I’m taking guitar lessons from an experienced instructor.

I was hoping for a book that will teach me to play guitar, specifically left-handed. If you're a beginner like me, I think that this book expects you to know more than a beginner will know. I am disappointed that it did not meet my expectation of instruction. It may be a great resource for some, but I did not find any value in purchasing it.

Very clear easy to follow...perfect for a beginner

I was glad that someone had finally written a tutor book exclusively for lefties, but there was not much content tthat I had'nt learned elsewhere except for some fingerstyle patterns. I have not learned much fingerstyle and I am by no means fully finished this book yet. The author seems to have an unusual teaching style and urges the student not to rush to each next section until they have the one they are working on down to a tee, (which makes sense). The most confusing thing I found was trying to make sense of chord diagrams written as left hand chords. up to now I have read conventional right hand chords as if I was looking at them in a mirror, or watching a right handed player.
