Is this whole cardamom or ground cardamom?

These are whole green cardamom pods, with the seeds inside. Open the pods to use the seeds whole or freshly ground.

How do I use cardamom in chai?

Gently crack the pods to release their aroma, then steep with your favorite tea recipe. Strain before serving.

Can I use it for baking?

Yes. Open the pods and grind the seeds for breads, buns, cookies and other baked favorites. Follow your recipe for the amount to use.

Does it work in savory dishes?

Yes. Whole green cardamom brings fragrant flavor to rice dishes, curries and slow-simmered recipes, as well as sweets and beverages.

How should I store the pods?

Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight. Grind the seeds when you are ready to use them.
