Hisense HS214 Soundbar All-in-one, Wireless Bluetooth, Powerful Bass Built-in, Compact Design, AUX, HDMI, USB, TV, PC Speaker

Nice Soundbar, sleek and small, looks great sitting under my tele. Easy set up. Sound is excellent. Was never really satified with the sound produced by my TV (Hisense) and this has really made the difference.

Sound is great. Lettering on Remote is too indistinct. Bought to supplement sound quality (which wasnt that good) for a new TV. Glad I did. Unit length is perfect for corner units like mine. Not high either so doesn't obstruct screen at all. Setup was super simple - connect to HDMI ARC sockets with cable included, set source (with remote) on HS214 to HDMI ARC and that's it! TV on puts the soundbar on too. Nothing to compare it too but having spent my life in the music industry I think the sound is pretty good. Plenty of Bass, especially in Movie or Music mode that can be adjusted on the remote but there is such a thing as Too Much Bass. Lol. It can make the mid range a bit muddy.The Speech mode is good for my wife who is partially deaf as it enhances the upper frequencies of speech and makes the Newsreader, for example, sound clearer. Rated frequency response is from 40 to 20k so isnt going to output those Cinematic punching ultra low frequency sounds but for the money it doesn't do a bad job. Surround sound doesnt seem to do much unless you are directly facing the soundbar and even then its not an all encapsulating effect. But remember too its 2.1, not a 5.1 home cinema setup so think of it as a nice 'gimmick'. Rated at 108watts. That seems LOUD until you remember that its actually 108 watts RMS, (2 x 54), so about 25 watts a side. In a room 4 x 5 mtrs that is plenty loud!! I Bluetoothed some of my recordings to it from my smartphone. Again, setup Pairing was a single button press on the remote. Considering the size of the speakers inside the unit, the sound was excellent. For Bluetooth. Its not Hi-Fi and not finely detailed but was quite good to listen to. The Remote. Now here's the thing. Its quite small, no issues with that, and works well BUT the printing on the black buttons is in grey and is very indistinct as a result. The handbook isn't a great help as it prints the view and button info picture in the bottom third of an A5 booklet page. Too small. Mind, once you know what the buttons do, you're sorted. 'Home Theater' (sic) it isn't but its a pretty decent sound improving device over the standard in-TV ones and at a sensible price. If it wasn't for the poor printing on the remote, I would have given it 5 stars.

Unlike most reviewers here... I paid full price for this! Bought it to match the new Hisense Roku TV that came out earlier this year. .... installed in my garage pub 😆 ... and to replace a smaller 26w bar I had in there previously. This is my third Hisense device, I have two of their 4K televisions. I find them remarkably comparable quality wise, to the so called big manufacturers. Some review sites wrongly describe their products as "low end".... that would merely describe the price difference. Hisense Support is based in Leeds, and I've contacted them 2 or 3 times with queries and received replies the day after. I don't understand the criticism others have made. Extremely easy to install with connections for HDMI (ARC), something you rarely find at this price, Optical In, Bluetooth, Aux & USB. Main TV sound I have thru HDMI (and Opt), so that covers the sound for Freeview, Fire Stick & Blu-ray, and an Amazon Echo via Aux (so I can play music and have TV on at the same time if I so wish). Bluetooth will no doubt come in handy too. Linked immediately to the Hisense TV, so the TV remote now can control soundbar volume etc .... as does the 4K Fire Stick remote if the Fire Stick linked to "TV" as opposed to "Soundbar" (as the Fire Stick doesn't find the IR code for it as yet.... I checked with Hisense Support). I noticed a huge difference in sound, particularly the bass, when wall mounted. I used angle brackets instead of the supplied screws to essentially isolate it from a surface and the wall. This gives the woofer more air and avoids vibration. Otherwise the woofer is too close to the surface you place the unit on, as it's on the bottom of the unit, with minimal space provided by the thin rubber feet. I may have considered returning it until I did this. Sound quality is actually very good when installed properly this way. Played some Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin & Rush at first and all instruments were balanced well. Tho I have whacked up the extra bass setting to the max +5, as I prefer to amplify the bass. You'll never get the same boom you'd get from a separate subwoofer, but that would be difficult to install in my pub set up.... so thought a simpler bar more suitable. It is. I found it plenty loud enough too .... and I like loud rock music and movies etc.... plenty loud enough for when we have party guests in the pub. It's 54W + the 54W sub and has ports at both ends. I assume those who don't find it loud enough have the unit sat on a surface, blocking the bass and causing harsh vibration. I found the unit to feel solid, heavy and of good quality. The sticker doesn't bother me either as it's now hidden under the TV. I'm very happy with the soundbar for £90, considering the overall quality and connections provided. You would probably have to pay double that to get similar. Mine was delivered next day too... straight after my order, I then noticed delivery was weeks and weeks.

Another returned soundbar. Here's why... Sound >> This gadget is like a changeling via HDMI ARC. I cannot work out why the sound is so different from programme to programme. Here I'm talking about the BBC which does broadcast excellent audio. The soundbar ranges from "wooly" to "dull" to "vibrant" to "energetic". I suspect this is the Dolby processing at play. Imho it's just trying too hard. How do I know this? Well I've got an old (but good quality) PC 2.1 system which I can benchmark against and the privilege of a Marantz / KEF 5.1 system. So why am buying a soundbar? Simples. I want to cut down on wiring - it's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under (or get tangled beyond untangling). It ain't in the bass, literally, there isn't much unless you crank it up to shake the room. I don't just think it's me watching TV at a reasonable volume. And finally on this section, if you wire it in via AUX (which is really useful) then all of the sound staging is gone, flat, dull, lifeless etc. etc. etc. Functionality >> Not bad but pretty basic. Here's a big reason why I returned it. If, as the manual says you switch the soundbar to "sound standby" it's meant to "sense" when sound is being fed from your TV to the soundbar. First of all, it doesn't work, at all. Secondly, you get this piercing flashing LED which will burn out your retinas and probably your left brain lobe. Others may choose the right lobe (I'm not fussy). Any attempt to disable this flashing LED is impossible - well okay, you can dim the LED completely but that's just daft. HDMI ARC is pretty good but a bit hit and miss at times (could be my TV but don't think so). A bit hit an miss means lip sync and turning on / off. Lip sync is always a bone of contention - TV, soundbar or both. I have just about every processing system know to women, men, children, animals and all the great creatures of this earth switched to OFF. OFF. OFF. Remote >> It's okay (can't add any more than that). Size >> Actually, here's where it excels. For the size it does a lot. If you're not a sound git like me then you can discretely hide it and I reckon most will appreciate this. Overall >> Not bad but certainly not good >> 3/5 cumulative score. Looks like I've got to dish out £350+ on an Atmos soundbar to get what I want so I can replace the wiring jungle. And as the Stones once said, "you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime you find, you get what you need". Quality >> It is really well built and I think there's a lot of tech crammed into this gadget.

I'm no audiophile but was having real difficulty hearing some shows on my 43" Hisense TV. purchaed this to ensure its compatibility with the TV and have to say I'm impressed. It's made a real difference. had to fiddle around at the back of the TV for a few minutes to locate the right HDMI ARC socket (Hisense - you really could label it more clearly) and voila! It all started working. Love the ARC powering the speaker with the on and off on the telly remote. Like others I'm not wild about the increments of 5 in sound from the remote which is a little clunky - but thats a minor gripe. I can find a volume that I'm happy with easily enough. So, the verdict. For the pricei think its a superb little unit. If you're not expecting 5.1 or Dolby Atmos levels (which you really shouldn't be) you wont be dissapointed. The speaker delivers clear and precise sound that without question is a good upgrade on the stock TV speakers in my Hisense TV. It has immediately enhanced dialogue definition and the range seems pretty good. If you're after a SUPER deep rumble of heavy bass in Movies you'll likely be dissapointed - but I'd argue that if you shouldve gone for a 5.1 system rather than a 2.1!!! I'm extremely happy with my purchase - it's improved my (casual) vieweing experience a lot. I'm a little annoyed by myself that I didnt invest in one earlier. My product was delivered without the ARC HDMI and Optical cable - but Amazon generously refunded me $27 which was more than enough for me to buy a excellent quality HDMI ARC cable (also from Amazon) and left change in my pocket. Overall, excellent service from both the product AND Amazon. Have no hesitation in recommending for use with Hisense TVs for the casual viewer who wants a reasonable (neat and compact) audio upgrade on their TV for not very much money. Well done Hisesnse. I bought this last month to replace a really old speaker i had on my pc. not even a month after having it, the sub and bass are gone... i turned the bass all the way up in the soundbar and nothing. all audio now coming from this hisense soundbar sounds like its coming out of a tin can. I was just listening to music, not even bass boosted music either, just Ariana Grande and then all of a sudden it broke I either want a replacement or my £70 back It sounded amazing at first and i was super happy... Below I've shared a video of before & after. You can clearly see the sub is broken. Both videos are on the same settings as each other with the same part of the song.

Sounds great - perfect for our needs as a transportable soundbar for our caravan and on boating holidays etc. Fills a room well and is a doddle to set up and connect to. It performs best when sat on a hard surface so the downward facing sub has something to work with. Reassuringly heavy, it's a solid sound. Knocking one star off as that little sub speaker cone is unprotected on the underside of the bar, so would be easy to damage when moving.

A very easy setup and fulfills the needs of my wife and I, Somewhat puzzled about how or why I received my delivery from the UK completel with a British power plug and a warranty which is the English version etc etc, plus the long wait for delivery when it now shows a few days? !.

La soundbar ha un'uscita di potenza di 80W e un subwoofer integrato, che offre un'esperienza audio surround di alta qualità. Ho potuto ascoltare la mia musica e guardare film con un suono nitido e di alta fedeltà, che ha migliorato notevolmente la mia esperienza di intrattenimento. La Hisense HS214 è anche dotata di una connessione Bluetooth, che mi ha permesso di riprodurre la mia musica dal mio smartphone o dal mio tablet senza dover utilizzare un cavo. Inoltre, la soundbar ha anche una porta HDMI e USB, che ho trovato molto utile per collegare altri dispositivi come il mio lettore Blu-Ray.
