my mom was looking for something that she would be able to gift to a friend, so when I saw this I knew it would be perfect. I must admit, when I saw the images on amazon, it did look a lot bigger than the item I have received. the heart is much smaller than expected, and it fits in one hand. That said, it is still a nice looking item, and it would make a great gift. it is solid and well made, and it comes nicely presented, with a piece of cord for hanging. my only complaint is with one line of the poem. instead of saying my friend is a place where I could go, it says when I could go, which to me doesn't make as much sense. other than that, if you're willing to overlook a slight misuse of the English language, then this will make a great gift. it is something cheap and small enough to add on to a larger present. I would recommend it.
