Q: Would you rate the effort for the wheel and button presses as light or heavy?

The "effort' to turn the wheel is minimal. Too minimal. Anything more than a light touch and the device snaps into a different mode. I tried to get used to it, but wound up using another mouse with no "wheel press" option, as the Kensington was just too annoying to use. I threw it in the trash.

Q: Is this capable of scrolling horizontally? Can the scroll wheel be tilted left and right?

See a couple of incorrect answers here. I have this mouse, and the wheel does indeed tilt to the right. On Windows 7, for me what happens is that if I tilt it right, a little circle appears on the screen. Inside the circle will be either 2 or 4 arrows, depending on if the window can be scrolled vertically, horizontally, or both. Once that circle appears, you can let go of the scroll wheel, and just move the mouse; the window will scroll in that direction. So it works a little differently from other scroll wheels I've used, where I had to continue to hold the wheel to the left or right to scroll horizontally.

Q: is it corded? how long is the cord?

Q: How tall is the mouse? I am replacing an older ergo that's nearly 3 inches tall. It forces you to pick up your arm. 2 days with a regular mouse and my wrist hurts already.

Sorry for the delay...we were away. This model is too big for me. They have another one that is not "full sized". If sitting on a flat surface, it is about 1-1/2" tall (not long). It is over 3-1/2" long and I find it pretty easy on the hand.
