These work really well. Put them where you worry water might leak and they’ll sound an alarm if water does leak. This is one of those products where it’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

These little alarms saved me twice from what could have been a really bad flood under my kitchen sink. They are small, but loud and can be reused. I purchased a set to give to friends and family I liked them so much. They are not the cheapest water alarm but they work and will save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars in damages by catching leaks early.

These things definitely tell ya if you have water. They work very simply by the 2 metal prongs on the bottom of them, if there is water touching those prongs, they beep and they don't stop until you physically pick them up and remove them from the water (or I guess if the battery runs out, but we haven't had that problem yet.) On 5 occasions now, these things have told us immediately that there was water and saved us from having a massive cleanup. It doesn't take much water at all either, we put them directly on the concrete floor in the utility closet and the moment there was any water, they started sounding, so you don't need to wait until there is a catastrophe amount of water (even a quarter inch of water is a lot, so I like that these basically go off with even the smallest trickle of water.) They are not very loud though, that is my only complaint. We have these in the basement, and if we are upstairs in our bedroom (just one floor above) with our door closed, we cannot hear it going off. We can hear it slightly with the door open though, so I wish that they were just slightly louder. Also, these are very basic, you cannot sync them to an app on your phone or anything, so if there is water when you aren't home, these won't tell you that. Overall, for the cost, these were DEFINITELY worth it!

Worked as expected! So glad we had them. We had a leak under the sink and thanks to this little guy we were warned. It could be a little louder but we still heard it. Now I’m comfortable with knowing we’ll be notified if something does leak.

I’ve got these Flood Buzz leak detectors behind my nugget ice maker, water filtration system, and RO water system, and they’ve been great for peace of mind. Pros: • Super Simple: No setup at all—just take them out of the package and put them where you need them. • Loud Alarm: The alarm is seriously loud, just like a smoke detector. I feel confident I won’t miss it if there’s ever a leak. • Perfect Size: These are small enough to tuck behind appliances without any hassle, and you barely notice they’re there. Cons: • One-Time Use Battery: The battery can’t be replaced, which means once it’s dead, you have to buy a new one. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. Overall, I’m really happy with these. They’re a simple, no-fuss solution for keeping an eye on potential leaks, and I’ll definitely be picking up a few more for other areas of the house. Totally worth it!

Good product but has gotten more expensive. I ordered two boxes by mistake and that's $96. Used to be cheaper!

When I first bought the Buzz alarms I thought maybe they wouldn't work so well. Well I sure was surprised to find out it does work and well. The alarm sound is good, it warned me of a flood (actually a puddle) in my basement from heavy rains. Will buy this alarm again.

It is now four years after I wrote this first review. The pods have an expiry date - probably because of the battery. We have purchased another set to replace the old ones. They saved our bacon about two weeks ago. The pod we had placed under the kitchen sink activated several times and we found small water leaks. They were easy to clean up and we called a plumber to come and see what was happening. He came and replaced the kitchen tap - which was causing the leak. Without the pod we would never have noticed that small leak. We live on the top floor of a condominium building - an undetected water leak that affected units below would have been tremendously costly. The deductible on the condo for water damage is $25,000!! We will always use these. Thanks I know now that it works really well. I washed the floor and slopped a little water close to the pod. It makes a progressively louder noise. Very well done. It stopped squealing as soon as I removed it from the water. I have them under all sinks, toilet, close to dishwasher and washing machine.

Work well. Even if slightest bit of water on floor it will sense it. Added peace of mind. Priced right. Fast delivery.

Probably like many buyers I purchased these after a water event. Our laundry room sink overflowed after the water was left on for about 20-30 minutes. Water flowed into a hallway which had a manufactured hardwood floor. We were able to clean if up quickly and after a week drying by the restoration company the floor was not damaged. We got lucky. Made me wonder why laundry rooms do not have floor drains. Anyway, a few days after placing the buzz detector my wife heard a high pitch squeal. We traced it back to the laundry room. The drain was leaking into the cupboard. We would never have picked it up without the warning. A good idea. Everyone should have something like this. I now have them in every bathroom as well as the laundry room and kitchen.
